Foreman wouldn't have had a chance in hell. He was too inconsistent to even have good odds of completing Tyson's 80s title reign. If he also had to beat Ruddock, Douglas, Evander, and Lewis (if that's what's being asked), his odds go to zero.

This is a guy who lost to Jimmy Young and never won over 12 in his prime.

Like every other fighter in history, Tyson didn't have the luxury of facing all of his opponents in his prime.

Even if you conclude that prime Foreman beats all of them, that doesn't mean that he matches Tyson's resume.

I would make the same argument equally forcefully, if we were talking about prime Tyson beating all of Foreman's opponents.

People act like Foreman hitting Evander once or twice with a few sneaky shots is any predictor of Foreman having success with Holyfield- Holyfield ate punches like candy bars it’s true- so did Foreman and he wouldn’t be hitting Evander with those sneaky shots because he didn’t know how to set them up as a 20 something.

Of we’re talking about Tyson’s title challengers during his reign as champion then in theory, yes. But to think that he’d go through an entire career of 56 fights against the same men and not have a single loss is probably unrealistic.

I don't know that a younger, less durable, not so good at stamina management Foreman survives the beating Holyfield gave old Foreman.

I don’t know if George’s chin was different but his defence sure was.

I seem to recall a decade or more back on here the subject of 70's Foreman vs. Tokyo Douglas was brought up, and wound up being a pretty well debated wedge issue.

Prime Holmes definitely beats Prime Foreman. Holmes from the Tyson fight likely beats Prime Foreman. That said, I think Holmes is all wrong for Foreman.

Prime Foreman had problems with the kind of heavyweight that dominated the 80's scene. I mean they flooded the 80's heavyweight scene.

Top post. Could you imagine what Foreman would do to Berbick? It's Mercado all over again.
