I give Yarde an outside chance, and will probably go to the fight. Yarde hasn't had the best of grooming for this fight, meeting too many journeymen then being tossed in with Kova,he needed a gradual step up in class.Yarde can punch and Beterbiev can be hit and is no spring chicken. Foster beats Beterbiev imo.I think Foster hit as hard as any 175pounder I've seen, and he could really box.
Thanks Mac!!! I thought if i am going to be in here commenting i'd best knock up a list!!!!!!! I probably haven't said it yet but welcome back. I'm sure you would have known i was happy to have you back of course. Here's to many good years ahead!
Cheers JT! I visited that other forum yesterday that recently banned member is still claiming he posts here,he is also now claiming the Louis v Walcott 1xt fight was deliberately edited to make Louis look better and that Louis' opponents ,Conn and Walcott were all miles ahead on the scoring. When I posted Box Recs official score cards he said they were "bogus".He is getting worse! Incredible.
I've been dropping in every couple of days just to further amaze myself Sometimes fact is stranger than fiction. I had never before realized that even tho you are banned if your threads remain on the forum you are "actively posting". Who knew?!?!?!?! I think it's great that you have a place where you can actively school him without getting banned in here. Almost like having your cake and eating it hahaha
No. I don't think Beterviev is anywhere close to unbeatable, but if Joe Smith who's better, tougher and hits harder than Yarde went nowhere fast, I don't see Yarde having anything more than a slim puncher's chance. I think he'll get broke down and stopped in the early-mid rounds.
You were instructed not to speak to or of me. In kind, I was instructed not to speak to or of you. Despite my own adherence to that instruction, you have breached this simple directive multiple times since your return from banning - including your comment as above (See highlighted text). Obviously, my replying in this instance is more than due and rightful. Desist immediately from making any further comments to or of me. Do not reply, simply comply. Otherwise, you will be duly reported.
I like this list John. Your top 9 is the same as mine and whilst some of the ordering is different, I couldnt argue against yours with conviction. I can see RJJ, T. Gibbons, Delaney or Saad Muhammed at 10, but again Johnson has an equally good case as any.
I suspect Yarde will hang back, trying to time a power shot, rather than fighting face first like Smith did. So, I guess I'm simultaneously in agreement with both your assessment that Yarde will do "better" against Arthur than Smith did, by being more cautious, and George's that Yarde only has a remote punches chance and it will likely take until around the middle rounds for him to be broken down and stopped. All that said, I posted on the general forum last week that I couldnt see any way L. Smith would beat Eubank Jnr, so what do I know?
The Nail. Foster couldn't beat guys who were as big and strong as him. If you go to his fight with Yarde, you'll see what I mean.
