Who has proven himself more? Well, Wallin did with the Fury fight. But he hasn't exactly impressed in his other outings in his career. I don't think he has much upside. A lot of guys have had one good night. Hrgovic is the top contender in the IBF. His fight with Zhang, I thought, was great fun. I can't wait to see him again. I think he has a much brighter future. And I also think Hrgovic would beat the hell out of Wallin if they faced off. Whatever Wallin showed against Fury, he didn't show it before that night and he hasn't shown it since. I mean, I follow boxing, particularly the heavyweights, and I never remotely heard of the nobody Wallin is fighting in a couple days. Helaman Olguin? Wallin's career is going backwards. Some felt Wallin lost to a guy (Sokolowski) with 24 losses last year. Of the two, Hrgovic can definitely go further. Hrgovic may have a title fight next. Wallin is fighting a complete nobody next.
It seems to me that Wallin performs better compared to Hrgovic. Yes, both unimpressive so far, but if Wallin managed to cause some troubles to Fury, Hrgovic barely survived an extremely thin victory against the "old" (in boxing terms) Zhang.
That fight would make a lot of sense and I think that a mutual agreement could be reached because neither of them is too demanding...
Hrgovic has a brighter future than Wallin, Wallins almost-got-a-cut-stoppage against Fury is more "impressive" than anything Hrg has done so far, but without that cut I think Fury would have absolutely walked that fight, and I'm doubtful if Wallin on his best night beats the distracted and out of sorts Hrgovic that fought Zhang
Wallin hasn't actually beaten a single decent opponent. I also personally feel that he won a robbery over Sokolowski which boxing fans ignore due to liking Wallin. Hrgovic beat Zhang, and though I felt it was a gift, a reasonable scorecard could be made for Hrgovic, I think fair arguments can be made up to 7 rounds either way, personally. Also, Hrgovic will go further, of course.
If we are talking about accomplishment , No significant win between the two , I’d say neither. If I had to choose it would be Wallin . He has at least fought for a title.
In my opinion, Wallin has proven himself more so far. Only and only because of the fight with Fury. Hrgović has not yet had a fight with such a quality opponent, that I could compare him with Wallin.
Hrgovic is probably a bit better but after all the hype around this guy he has been pretty disappointing. Maybe these guys should fight each other.
That was no gift Junglong Xi. Did Hrgovic look like ****? Yeah, but he won a close decision against the 50 year old chinese monk.
