I don't think you know how to use the word pedantic. Consider this a quick crash course. I'm aware of who Gvozdyk is. I'm aware his pro record, which is all that matters, sucks, and he doesn't hold a candle to Torres, Tiger, or even Henry ****in Hank. Foster > Beterviev.
You’re being pedantic because you’re trying to reduce Gvozdyk’s h2h level to his resume and ditto Beterbiev’s resume. You’re failing to acknowledge that Beterbiev’s combination of size, power, and technical skill would result in Foster being laid out because he always failed against guys who were bigger than him and carried power.
Torres was five feet ten, a reasonable height for a 60's lhvy, with 28 kos in 41 wins for a near 65% ko ratio.
And 168 pounds dripping wet. I went to Beterbiev’s fight with Smith. If you go to his next fight (I think you said you were), you’re going to find out that he’s a slimmed down heavyweight with the strength and power of a strong heavyweight. His power and physical strength are like Mercer or Arreola. I wasn’t totally sold until I saw him live.
I'm a fan of Beterbiev's but his pro resume isn't that deep,if he beats Bivol, and I don't think he will, it will be time to reassess him .
Literally. He’s huge, has perfect balance and wastes nothing. He’d probably beat Mercer in a wrestling or sumo match. He might lose it it’s a bench press or deadlift.
I agree Beterviev is extremely strong for his size. Watching a c185-190lbs Beterviev ring side wouldn't have me agreeing he was stronger than the also immensely strong c235-240lbs Mercer.
Bob Foster is one of the all time great light heavyweights. Beterbiev is no where near that level career wise, He'd have a hard time getting in the top 10 if at all.
Just wondering after Beterbiev's FOTY candidate vs Yarde where he had some difficulty, has altered anyone's opinions on Beterbiev overall.
