Duran for me... I much preferred his style of fighting and demeanour, aged better too... the guy was a lightweight that pushed ATG Hagler to the brink, beat prime SRL & spanked prime Barkley for the MW title... along with Marciano he's my favourite Fighter ever.. consider that even at age 46 he beat Jorge Castro who had recently been WBA middleweight champion...

    I make perfect sense

Look down towards you feet, Manfred

You see those shoes you're wearing?

I could make a pair of those shoes in under an hour whereas you don't even know how to tie the laces on them.

Take a step back and a step down before you burnt

Duran. He fought the better competition, and was a small undersized fighter when he moved up in weight. Ali had a height, reach and weight advantage against all his opponents.

He didn't push Hagler to the brink and he didn't 'spank' Barkley, either.

'Fought the better competition'? I don't think so.

I think Durans win over SRL has a good shout of being one of THE best single wins in boxing history, considering the natural weight disparity and SRLs incredibly high Welterweight ATG standing.

For this reason I tip it to Duran over Ali.

Ali. Duran is possibly the most overrated figher of all time. What's so great again about Duran. Won one big fight then got messed up the rest of his big ones.

14-0 14 KOs in LW title fights, clearing out LW. Skipped 140 to beat Leonard at WW, won a title at 154, pushed Hagler (top ATG MW) to the brink of defeat and won a title at MW.

Jesus. Fellow managed to legitimately beat Jorge Castro at 46, that's insane.

I’ll respond later today on his resume at LW. Also the Hearns loss pfp isn’t that bad as Hearns is naturally massive compared to him.

Ali was supposed to get killed by Norton, Frazier, Liston, Foreman. And still came out on top, all while losing his prime in prison.

    Ali, and it isn't close.

I’m not making the argument that Duran is >Ali (I didn’t even vote for Duran). personally I always give HWs a lot more respect than as if they’re just another division. I’m just saying that Duran’s career isn’t only a win over SRL and a bunch of losses. He has a great LW resume as well as accomplishments vs world class fighters in several divisions spanning from 147 to 160.
