Whyte always has a punchers chance against AJ

Hearn cannot risk it...and AJ would likely finish Whyte off

Hearn is protecting his dead golden goose with a guy who isn't known to be a puncher. I don't think he's got a chance to box AJ off because many of these guys become too conservative when they get hit by AJ.

Franklin is just too small to deal with these big boys, I like him I think he's alright...but he'd need abit more to his repertoire to overcome the physical disadvantages.

That's a very good point to be honest.

I'm getting Ruiz Jr vibes from Franklin. He is heavy handed, fast and explosive, and he closes the gap quickly. I think AJ will get caught again, a hard left hook to the temple, and it will be game over for Joshua.

I don’t get why everyone wants the Whyte fight; rematches have just been huge setbacks for the division. Franklin isn’t the best but it’s not a bad fight at all after 2 back to back losses. I think after this fight AJ might go for a Hrgovic level opponent and then maybe someone like Joyce.

Looking forward to this fight. What I can't understand is why Hearn isn't trying to make AJ-Whyte 2 in the summer? Apparently fooking Whyte-Chisora 3 has been suggested? AJ/Fury/Wilder/Usyk3 are never happening, largely due to network issues. AJ-Whyte 2 is the biggest in-house heavyweight fight DAZN can do in 2023. Bizarre

Fury wasn't taking the Wallin fight seriously until he got poked in the eye.

Ruiz is a good fighter. He didn't really scrape past Ortiz, he knocked him down 3 times. Ortiz would probably beat Wallin.

Wallin has done literally nothing to prove himself a top level fighter. He hurt Fury when Fury was not taking him seriously, and Fury took most of the rounds anyway.

Look I'm not saying Wallin is bad, he's just not proven. He's not done anything impressive.

Fury on cruise control would have still had less trouble with Ruiz, Chisora, Whyte, Parker etc. Wallin showed attributes that those fighters simply don't have.

Many people had Ortiz winning the fight despite the KD's, one of which was highly dubious. And this is a 43 year old Ortiz with 2 KO defeats who had a war with Charles Martin in his previous fight. Ruiz struggled badly and lost to Parker, who lost to Whyte, who is ducking Wallin, as "Dean Whyte" has advocated.

Wallin's performance against Fury puts him above the likes of Parker and Whyte until proven otherwise. That single fight was more impressive than the careers of these pseudo-contenders. And Breazeale is no world beater but he would have given Whyte more problems than he did Wallin, who like Whyte he took a confident AJ 7 rounds.
