It's over. The concussive punches finally caught up with Yarde..

That was a brutal fight. Yarde was brave, but didn't have enough.

Beterbiev is not what he used to be. He's slow to pull the trigger. You can tell there were openings for him and he didn't take it. I think he's declining.

 

Yarde showed some serious Heart, good fight.

 

Imagine if he didn't burn up so much nervous energy at the start. Showed a lot of bottle and one of those instances he will come out a victor in defeat.

 

He'll be a huge favorite if people are picking based on their skills and not their KO %

 

This was not the man who beat Gvozdyk. That ship has sailed.

 

Weird night. We saw everything bad about boxing (youtude idiot) and everything good (Yarde/Beterbiev giving all they had). Excellent main event!

Yarde would have got mashed up. Reminds me of Bellew Usyk - Bellew only looked in the fight for 4 or 5 rounds because he was fighting at absolute maximum. It's unsustainable and you'll get found out eventually.

Fighting like this, you look like you've got huge nads, but you're always gonna lose unless you land the big one.

Yarde fought the right fight, though. Kudos.

 

He is elite, he's 3rd in the division.

 

Beterbiev finally showed his age in this one, but he still won impressively.

 

It was a great fight to watch. And it was competitive in places. Yarde acquitted himself well but Beterbiev had too much experience. He's very good at pacing himself too - you could see points in the fight where he took his foot off the gas a little, which is a sign of a great fighter who knows how to manage a fight.

 

No, he's not. How can Yarde be #3 in the division if he lost to Kovalev and Beterbiev and is probably not better than Bivol? Log off dude.

 

Good scrap Yarde did better than expected. Respect to both men. Quality fight.
