Beterbiev is on the back nine.

Nonetheless, I've always believed the very best version of Kovalev, fighting behind that thudding, rangefinder jab, would have beaten Beterbiev.

He was hurt by Joe Smith and Joe Smith is no Beterbiev. Bivol has a chance if he doesn’t engage, boxes all night. I’m not convinced he’s a better boxer than Beterbiev though.

I think Prime Kovalev is better than Beterbiev, but I think Beterbiev would beat prime Kovalve h2h, just a bad match up for Kov tbh.

Canelo wasn't a great showing. Looked like he had outgrown the weight to me and he is looking great at 175. Agree to disagree Pal.

Yarde definitely should not have been up by 2 rounds dodgy british judging

Beterbiev is only a year younger than Kovalev. He’s already older than the shot version of Kovalev. Unfortunately, it makes perfect sense that he’s already a bit over the hill.

He's a massive LHW and always has been, no idea how he even weights 175lbs on the weigh in with that much muscle.

I remember that fight well. Not many folks come back from a shot like that. I'm not saying Beterbiev can't knock him out, I just like Bivol at this point in their careers.

I never noticed that, I noticed he would often get knocked off balance by check hooks that everyone got excited about.

Like I said, Kovalev was a drunk old man, coming off of two KO losses, and shot to absolute hell, and had a far easier time with Yarde. The science says.... Beterbiev shouldn't look worse than a man who abused himself as badly as The Krusher. Prime Kovalev starches prime Beterbiev, it is what it is.

beve has some elite qualities, but hes lacking. i think a bivol or canelo would be an intriguing match up. hes also getting older, so the odds keep sliding against him.
