Do you remember your comments for Beterbiev on his previous fights and with Joe Smith Jr. ?
Cause i think you were/are absolutely right.
You were saying that a lot of Beterbiev punches are borderline legal/illegal, which is 100% correct. He is really on the verge landing on the side of the head/back of the head. Same tonight when he was in trouble. He is swinging heavily and a lot of his punches land .... let's said it borderline.

Just to mention this ain't a hate against Artur, i like him as a fighter, and so far i always cheered for him in his fights.
But i think you 100% have a point.

Smith Jr one punch power > Beterbiev one punch power.

That Yarde would have stopped the (admittedly shot) Kovalev he lost to.

Good fighter but weird career.. don't think the Frank Warren WBO fast track does many boxers a favour in the long run.

Beterbiev is on the back nine.

Nonetheless, I've always believed the very best version of Kovalev, fighting behind that thudding, rangefinder jab, would have beaten Beterbiev.

He was hurt by Joe Smith and Joe Smith is no Beterbiev. Bivol has a chance if he doesn’t engage, boxes all night. I’m not convinced he’s a better boxer than Beterbiev though.

Well, to be fair with Yarde, Kovalev's jab is not a normal jab. At all.

I agree that Kovalev is a more complete fighter than Beterbiev, though. A better fighter.

I think Prime Kovalev is better than Beterbiev, but I think Beterbiev would beat prime Kovalve h2h, just a bad match up for Kov tbh.

Canelo wasn't a great showing. Looked like he had outgrown the weight to me and he is looking great at 175. Agree to disagree Pal.

Beterbiev is only a year younger than Kovalev. He’s already older than the shot version of Kovalev. Unfortunately, it makes perfect sense that he’s already a bit over the hill.

He's a massive LHW and always has been, no idea how he even weights 175lbs on the weigh in with that much muscle.

I remember that fight well. Not many folks come back from a shot like that. I'm not saying Beterbiev can't knock him out, I just like Bivol at this point in their careers.
