Honestly. Yarde should have been given 5 minutes for that back of the head shot. Rules guys, they exist

Nah you're overrating Kova by quite a bit.

I'm not talking about the Kovalev that fought Ward and Pascal, I'm talking about the Kovalev that demolished Cleverly. As far as Pascal going 8, who the **** has KO'd Pascal since?

I thought he outboxed Andre Ward. He was robbed of what was by far the best win of the 2010s

He was already done with the first punch to the chin.

Oh yeah... Yarde got way better. He was scared of Kovalev's jab, tonight he was trading with Beterbiev. Maybe Beterbiev just doesn't hit as hard as advertised?

Maybe but he didn’t go down until the illegal punch

Yeah, idk if I agree with Kirk's post there. Pascal is a tough son of a *****, one of the toughest. Also Bhop like Chilemba is the ultimate spoiler and knows how to survive. Beterbiev is there to go to war and also open himself to being hit. I still have Beterbiev winning but I don't agree with using those fights to say Kov couldn't stop beterbiev.

Canelo of 18 months ago against Beterbiev now would be the most competitive them two ever get, even then Beterbiev canes Canelo

Look, power is power. Does he destroy his opponents? Yes. He literally chops them down gradually and they quit eventually. This is not a slapping competition, don't expect him to KO Bivol with a single punch. This is 12 rounds of professional boxing.

To be expected in the UK, and consider the noise made by the crowd and commentators whenever Yarde hit Beterbiev’s gloves. Even people watching from home inexplicably had Yarde winning the fight. It wasn’t even close and I knew that Beterbiev would break him down eventually, but I had no doubt that Yarde would be up on the scorecards despite getting beaten up and outboxed.
