Big props to Yardes's trainer there, he saved him from getting stretchered out, Beterbiev is a sickening puncher.
he turned his back wandered to his corner and looked completely out of it, it’s the minimum he should have done. Steve Gray still sent him back in though!
I was seeing something bad happening to Yarde, his heart & chin are too strong for his own good. Beterbiev is a devastating puncher, makes Golovkin look like Pep if you ask me.
Never been drawn to Tunde because of his ridiculous talk, but fairplay there, that was great corner work
As I said in the other thread there was no point to continue with the knockdown. Without the knockdown he was on for some home cooking Good call
I think he was running on fumes and instinct for a lot of the fight. Looked to gas out early with nervous energy and then after taking some leather in the 4th actually looked to settle down a little. Brave effort and one of those times a fighter comes out a winner in defeat. Reminded me of Price vs Povetkin in that way.
I don't think he was ever going to see the distance, he did well but the Russian was breaking him down and lighting him up whenever he caught him.
not that strange, he’s a man who will throw the towel back out of the ring if the hometown boy still has a chance, but if you’re a foreign goon and stumble once? the clutch and wave for you
I'm surprised Yarde lasted so long tbh, he did well to slip and evade the killer shot when he was wobbled. I don't think Beterbiev landed his best shots as clean as he could.
Good call from tunde. Tbf i think his stock went up a bit tonight as well. Not manys cup of tea....but great call for the stoppage. Had yarde in good condition tonight and caused beterbiev some problems. I dont think you do that if your as useless as everyone says as a coach. Inexperience cost yarde as well as being in against a very very good opponent more than bad coaching from tunde.
