Actually I thought Beterbiev was in trouble in round 7.

It's only natural he'd be declining at 38 tbf, I wonder how much that fight actually took out of him, he was rocked a couple of times, and maybe a few signs that he was struggling with the pace a bit in rounds 6 & 7 - again to be expected at 38.

Can we just please get Bivol vs Beterbeast? I doubt Bivol hits as hard as Yarde.

 He is old. He's 38, has been training like a maniac since he was 9, had 300 amateur fights fighting with a very aggressive style which ensures he takes a lot of punishment, and he's an absolute gym rat who trains all year round. That's a ton of wear and tear on your body and fighters who fight with his style are usually burned out long before they hit anywhere near that age.

These clowns think certain types of fighters are immune to the ageing process and decades of wear and tear but when one of their boys losses they mysteriously become shot over night long before they reach Beterbiev's age.

Beterbiev applies a lot of pressure to his opponents almost crudely at times as if he’s thinking you hit me and il hit you harder, also relying a lot on his strength and toughness as well as the clever traps he sets when inviting fighters onto him. Beterbiev v Bivol absolutely has to happen, Bivol has the skills but imo lacks the power to keep Beterbiev honest and I think Beterbiev gets to him eventually for a late stoppage win. I still don’t think Hearn will allow Beterbiev v Bivol yet though, knowing Hearn he will want Beterbiev in a few more hard fights first as well as aging him more . Hearn will jump at the chance to match Callum Smith with Beterbiev before he would allow the Undisputed fight . Beterbiev v Bivol has to happen asap .

Since the dude has never been stopped, we don't know how far he was away from being stopped.

I dont buy that Kovalev and Beterbiev have medicore chins. They have solid not great chins. Pascal was iron chinned and a couple good shots from Kovalev had him out on his feet. Guys this the LHW division. These are large, strong men. You dont just start taking flush shots off the noggin from power punchers at 175 and keep on trucking like nothing happened.

It was more about the lack of proper rest between the Yarde fight and the rehydration clause.

So you're basing Bivol not being able to take a punch on the fact that one of the P4P biggest punchers in the sport rocked him and he didn't go down.:risas3:

True, but it was just a guess. Beterbiev was looking spent, but credit to him for finding that extra gear and getting Yarde out of there.

The interesting thing there though is:-
    1) Bivol's distance management is sublime
    2) He rarely get's hit clean, his defense statistically the best in boxing
    3) He doesn't make mistakes, and executes his gameplan with ice-cold precision

Even given that, I still think Beterbiev vs Bivol is a pick'em, maybe just a baw-hair to Bivol now due to AB's age and signs of decline

The hilarious part is Beterbiev is pushing middle age. Hes a borderline middle aged man. In a young mans sport.

**** outta here hes not declined.

How can Bivol get off Beterbiev of him for 12 rounds ? He would just do what he did to Gvodzyk and Bivol don't even punches as hard as him.

Bivol admitted Smith punches really hard and he was hurt by his shot.
