Buatsi didn't beat Spider Richards legitimately. Amateur pedigree means **** all of you're a glass cannon and don't have the power to keep a KO artist off of you. Yarde was walking through hellfire and brimstone and getting to Beterbiev tonight. Buatsi's shots will feel like pebbles by comparison. You really aren't that bright.

True. But hopefully he's got a bit more time before that happens. Povetkin was 40+ when he finally couldn't hang at the top level. Only time will tell.

You guys need to know by now that Beterbiev and the Chechen Warlord watch fight tapes together and plan strategies for each opponent.

Beterbiev isn't that hard to keep at range, Gvozdyk did it successfully, as did Yarde tonight. Callum has a decent jab, and a hellacious right. I doubt Beterbiev will be all that eager to bum rush him either.

 I actually had a bad feeling for weeks that Beterbiev might lose. I knew Yarde's speed would cause this version of him a lot of problems and there was just something in the air that was telling me it was going to be a lot tougher for Beterbiev than most thought it would be. The fact that it was over here in the UK was huge advantage for Yarde tonight.

He was a shell of himself against Canelo. Any ideas?

Got to learn how to pick with your head and not with your heart. At least.. If you're actually seriously predicting fights. It's nice not having to worry about prediction leagues and gambling(for the most part) those really impact the ability to being able to enjoy fights for a lot of people.

These fights need to be on neutral grounds. Too much corruption in the home countries.

So, I guess you were expecting everyone to remember Beterbiev has had exactly 6 fights since Johnson, who you did not mention right? It was intentionally misleading, and you know it.

Might well happen as I said in an earlier post here if at least one of the following doesn't come off this year (Fury/Usyk, Crawford/Spence, Beterbiev/Bivol)

Yeah for sure. I just see AB defeats Smith while taking a few more jabs, and a little worse defence than Canelo. I don't think AB suddenly runs into his cryptonite in the form of Callum Smith is all.

    I hope he does too

Povetkin declined from fight to fight

He was already well past his best when he fought AJ but the version who fought Hughie had declined from that fight. And the version who fought Hunter had declined from the one who fought Hughie. And the version who fought Whyte was shot to bits. And the version who showed up for the rematch was a walking cadaver. Or more like a hobbling one.

I no longer expect fights that I'd care about to happen in a period when I would still care about them.

Hey... I bet most didn't think Callum would put a guy in the hospital that went the distance with Bivol, in his LHW debut either. Not saying Smith for sure KO's Beterbiev. But Yarde had him shook up several times tonight. Callum can do the same, and possibly finish him.
