Those are strange numbers. I wasn’t expecting a Canelo payday but at least something close to a million. I thought these guys were more popular than that, especially Yarde, whose a pretty good self promoter.
Definitely underpaid considering the quality of the fight and the level of the combatants. Especially when you consider they'll in reality be lucky to walk away with a 3rd of that once everyone has taken their cut and expenses are deducted and that's if they've been smart enough to set themselves as limited companies for tax purposes. It's kind of crazy to think we have an unbeaten KO machine who stops everyone with an exciting style but outside of the true hardcore fans nobody cares about him.
So, can we agree from a financial standpoint at least that Beterbiez's career has been mismanaged? The man is 38 and still hasn't hit the real big money.
