If you go on social media and read the comments regarding anything to do with Benn it’s crazy. Months later and the fans haven’t forgotten an ounce. The Whyte playbook certainly isn’t working. He knows now people will tune in to watch him lose all while proclaiming his innocence, he will be matched with fighters that are not allowed to mention the drugs so not to embarrass him.
Yes 100 percent, or at least put a high level of pressure onto the board. I've been told, not by a particularly in the know person, but someone who does a fair bit of backstage work at boxing events, that the word is that through a combination of Mathchroom's legal team and Conor Benn's own team putting a massive amount of pressure on the board they're hoping to force the board to back down. They're preparing a large scale legal battle onto the board which the board simply cannot match or fund. The he expectation is the board will have to admit defeat before its even started. However, they're both pursuing a legal battle from 2 different angles to create the impression it's seperate issues but ultimately to the same outcome and are very much doing it in cahoots. That's what is apparently being whispered behind the scenes.
Yeah he is planning to fudge the WBC result and then put pressure on the board to sue em. He is a slimeball of a bloke
Another line that makes me laugh "Benn team don't need to deal with the board because he isn't licensed" Yeah and why doesn't he have a bloody license.
Conor Benn is clueless. He has posted a clip on Instagram from that sky sports interview where he goes on about how he had to make sacrifices and half the boxers who had we had wouldn't do it. Mate you had all that and still juiced. He has no self awareness.
Not technically true, Fury could get a licence tomorrow if he wanted. Not that Fury didnt do anything wrong but UKAD have done what they had to with Fury after they were intimidated in to settling his case.
Conor and his dad are tough men - but neither are very bright and both have short fuses. Put those two ‘qualities’ together, add a huge dose of zero self awareness, a sprinkling of Eddie ‘earn’ Hearn stirring the pot and you’ve got the sh*t show we see being played out now. Embarrassing really.
Yes, I make you right. Hearn has built quite a decent corporate image, where certain companies want to sponsor/be associated with Matchroom. He has also earned wider recognition with being asked to do a podcast/radio program with the national broadcaster. Seems strange to risk his reputation for Conor Benn.
As far as I’m aware Fury had a British licence until he got caught cheating. With us being told that Benn won’t apply for a British licence again, the scenarios seem pretty much the same.
I think there is a big argument of they put too many eggs in Benn basket. AJs stock has dropped, Dillians has dropped hugely, Josh Warringtons plummeted. Flipside, done incredibly well with Leigh Wood, Katie Taylor. Below that they have Johnny Fisher as probably best of the rest, which let be fair is a depressing state of affairs. They need Benn massively, one for the cash and two to build new new starts around him.
Wbc will release the verdict in the next week. He is already posting that he is innocent, which means he probably has seen the report from the wbc
Prince Andrew practically banished from public life and any working roles. Benn gonna headline dazn cards very soon
