We saw what happened when the most successful light heavyweight turned heavyweight in modern history got in the ring with Iron Mike.

Thee almost seems to have been an unofficial policy back then, that the small heavies fought the small heavies, and the big heavies fought the big heavies.

If you had two giants in the division, then they seldom seemed to miss each other.

If you had two small guys of high rankings, then they seem to have fought each other, so that the winner would skip to the front of the que.

Do you think that is the best that any former light heavyweight could have done against Tyson?

I don't personally think that it is.

We saw one of the best LHWs ever in Conn give the actual greatest destructive force in the ring fits.

This is not just size difference but size difference on the highest talent level .. the size difference is pretty much the same if you compared Carlos Monzon to fight Joe Louis ... you have to favor Lennox

Bob Foster was pretty darn good. I see him getting similarly wrecked.

    So do I.

My question is, would it really be impossible for some light heavyweight to get on their bicycle, and make it a more competitive fight?

I am going to guess that the Tunney of the Dempsey fight, a least makes us grab another beer between rounds.

Lewis, he was big but he learnt how to utilise it and fight tall as well.

All I'll say is, Lennox Lewis at his best, totally focused, is never a massive under dog against every top heavyweight, through out history.
