it would be a great fight. canelo will undoubtedly get hurt, something thats never happened to a finished canelo. if he can persevere, its another huge chapter in his legacy. beve will definitely give it to him mexican style.
Canelo loses the rematch to Bivol for starters, also I don't think canelo has the balls to fight Benevidez or Beterbiev. He knows better, and if he doesn't now, he will after his second loss to Bivol.
That's what they all said before that Canelo won't fight Kovalev, and when the fight was made the agenda changed to Canelo will get KO'd. Canelo fought Kovalev and stopped him, will be same with Beterbiev.
Beterbiev punches harder than anybody tyhat has hit Canelo, Kovalev didn`t land any right hands on Canelo because he feared the counter hook but Beterbiev would walk right through Canelo`s shots and destroy him.
Beterbiev is more agressive than Kovalev and will tyhrow more power shots plus he won`t back off, he punches far harder than Canelo.
Canelo would easily be the most skilled and best fighter AB has ever been in with, it doesn’t seem a stretch that he could lose. Sorry if that hurts your feelings that wasn’t the intent.
I think at this point Canelo vs Beterbiev is very competitive. But the Bivol fight showed Canelo isn't a 175lbs guy. Whether he can overcome the size disadvantage to beat this or that fighter at 175 is less interesting to me than if anyone at 168/160 can get their skill up to beat him. Beterbiev should fight Bivol for all the marbles ASAP.

theres more than one way to skin a cat. sometimes an axe isnt the most successful approach. people analyzing fights through their fanboy glasses are gonna give you the fanboy take. we can pretend canelo is some unskilled one dimensional masher that can only fight one way, or that he was so thoroughly dominated that nothing he does could possibly change anything...but why? whats that gonna do for me besides blacken my ass from all the smoke. the guy can fight, and depending on his game plan he can give anyone problems. personally, i want to see him struggle to overcome, so these fights interest me.
