I would lean towards Leonard mainly off his wins against Hearns and Benitez, I'm trying to think of two Mayweather wins that compare...may be the win against Pac, but I favor the Hearns win cause Hearns was much younger. But style vs style this is an extremely interesting matchup. Leonard would need to be the aggressor. I can't think of anyone Leonard faced that would be on Mayweather s level defensively. I don't know how effective Leonard's flashy combos would be. He still didn't throw hands like Pac, and Mayweather layed on the ropes and basically dodged everything Pac had to offer until Pac "broke his shoulder" hitting air. The truth is we will never know. I don't think this comes to one fight. I can see either fighter winning on a given night. The about it is, Leonard's biggest opponents, Duran and Hearns, he fought them differently stylistically in each of their fights. And he left himself vulnerable at times doing so. I'm going to say over three fights, Leonard's goes 2-1 (o), but it could just as easily go the other way
I mean I tried to make it through your little rant, you seem very hung up on 44 this and 40 that.... But you lost me at "Toney beating McAllum is better than anything on Mayweather CV" Aside from being a completely moronic statement, no one even uses the term "CV", especially not in boxing.
Battle of smoke vs mirrors. Got to side with srl cause pf the better wins and h2h as well. Floyd has more longetivity yo his resume though so its close.
Leonard was greater better gooder amazinger tremendouser incredibler stupendouser fabulouser & whatever else you want to put in there. I'm no hater, I think Floyd is the best of his time. But it's not even close.
Only one of them beat both Pacquiao AND Marquez decisively. The other one, I'd have to look at his boxrec, but he probably beat someone named Marquez, even though a Pacquiao would just be a dumb kind of stupid coincidence.
Floyd is even more skilful, Leonard may be the stronger bigger man both extremely athletic with Floyd’s defence being better, both great ring generals. At their best practically impossible to beat
