I'm actually watching aaron pryor - alexis arguello 1 right now, couple of guys recommended it,just finished round 1,man what a fight already lmao,I plan on watching all of the fights people recommended here in next couple of weeks

there have been a lot of fights overlapping in multiple lists, which means that they must be really really good,I guess I'll enjoy this second part of january :)

Enjoy! These fights are really as good as it gets.

Also, if you fancy it, there’s the scorecard thread so would be good to see you post your thoughts in there about some of these classics.

I enjoy scoring so I'll definitely score some fights and give my opinion on them later!

I loved the Haugen, Camacho, JCC and Paz, Mancini Saga's...
outside of Duran & Co, these were the immediate default fighters to watch, and then came Tyson.

    Personally, I love your list.
I also agree with your point about the Hagler vs Hearns
fight, which is overrated in my opinion.
To me, Hagler vs Mugabi, and Hearns vs Roldan were better
fights, just not the same name recognition or importance.

Gomez-Pintor is a great shout that’s often overlooked. What a pace those two set.

The Ring made round 3 Round of The Year. That was in 1982 when you had some incredible rounds - Mancini v Frias’ some round classic stands out in particular - and some incredible fights.

It was a fight that built momentum beautifully. Round 12 is my personal favourite, where Gomez has Pintor in trouble early before he comes all the way back. Incredible.

I'm going to go hang out with my pops this weekend. Thank you for helpfully creating our Saturday night watch list!

Alas, the calendar turned to 1990 before we got Paez-Dorsey I and II. Love those fights.

Watching fights with your father is the best. Me and my Pop have watched so many — he even texts me whenever there are fights on TV and we comment back and forth (he even knows how to use emojis now, which is something considering he’s in his 80s haha).

Cherish the time you get to spend with him.

Absolutely! I grew up watching fights with him. Great to still do it now even though I'm (much) older than he was in my early memories of watching fights with him.

My kids really aren't into watching boxing, but my daughter loves action movies, so we do get to watch those together and enjoy. We watched through all the Die-Hard movies at her request over the holiday season this year. I still think that Die Hard With a Vengeance was the best, but she insists the first was the best.

There were so many great fights during that time and the crazy thing is they were on free tv.
