Interesting fight between two of the strongest light heavys ever. I like DM's pressure and workrate against most fighter's but against a guy that hits as hard as Beterbiev it's not a good thing. Both of these guys liked to fight going forward so it would be interesting to see which one of them gets there way. DM was a pretty sturdy guy all the way to the end of his career but he never fought anyone quite like Beterbiev. I think the power wins out over pressure and workrate. Beterbiev by mid round KO on a thrilling fight.
Michalczewski achieved more and had better longevity, although his opposition wasn't always the best. But Michalczewski does have the best single win of the two with a win over Virgil Hill.
Yeah I thought Kovalev beat Ward the 1st time aswell in region of 115-112, 114-113. But as you know boxing can be BS at times as much we love it.
I thought Kovalev looked more impressive in his prime personally, he was also in a stronger Light Heavyweight era overall I'd say.
