    If you need to lie to yourself and believe that as a comfort blanket. Yes he scampered away to beat a bigger better fighter in Kovalev while Lil G was get schooled by aLight Middleweight in Canelo. Yeah sure like I said if your lies to yourself give you comfort then have at it.

    Why so down on Ward, gollum?

    I too believe Kovalev outpointed Ward in their first fight, but I don't think less of Ward as a result. Prime Kovalev was a terrific light heavyweight who was no worse than even money against Beterbiev.

    Posters justifiably question whether Kovalev could withstand Beterbiev's power and sustained pressure.

    Artur can be hit, however, and far lesser opponents have hurt or dropped the Chechen. You don't want to eat too many flush right hands from a prime Kovalev.

After Usyk responded with an evil smile and “Yesss” without a slit second pause after asked if he’d be up for one more Cruiserweight fight against Ward… “Dre” got real quiet real quick afterwards :) Never mentioned a possible matchup between the two again. Lol

    Yeah, it's a real shame we never got to see it happen. Two unbeaten murderous punchers who (both top 3 hardest punchers in the sport) who don't like each other. Kovalev wasn't the only one who was robbed against Mr Have Gloves, Won't Travel Zero Personality Ward, we the fans were robbed robbed of one of the greatest match ups in the sport and the history of the LHW division.

    Yeah that could very well happen. That being said, Kovalev had a nasty right hand counter. Even the past prime version did back before McGirt transformed him into a boxer who only threw half power at best
