Seems to me the dodgy referee wanted the Top Rank boxer to win.

The ref was dumb as dog ****. Something that was missed by the callers, it was, maybe round 3 and he warned Wilson about something and said ' do it again and I'll stop it. Intimating that he would DQ Wilson. What the **** for, I don't know. I was shocked when I heard that and I knew that Wilson was up against it.

The difference in count speed between some refs is crazy. This dude was giving a count in slow motion lol let alone the extra mouth piece time.

The ref was absolutely awful here. Holding things up for nearly 30 seconds after the knockdown is inexcusable. He might as well have given Navarette smelling salts during that interlude.

Of course he wasn’t treated fairly even the whole weigh-in ordeal was shady. He’s a good fighter though he’ll be back.

He was treated fairly. He hit dude while down. If this is the first time you seen a fighter spit out his mouthpiece, welcome to boxing.

Shady, but no worse than him getting a title fight to begin with.

What I see is they brought in an absolute nobody to ensure the Mexican fighter added a belt in a new weight division. Then it almost went hilariously wrong.

Some refs want to give the fighter about 2 days to recover before having them continue.

"Are you ok? Can you fight? Walk to me. To the right now. To the left. Take it back now y'all"

The delay from 20 seconds onwards was completely unnecessary.

He has already had 10 seconds since the count to be checked out. Get the fight going again.

It's pure corruption. The referee knew what he was doing the whole time. His job was to ensue Navarette got over the line, and he broke the rules to make sure that Navarette could continue, and go on to win the fight.

If the ref did a proper/fair count Liam Wilson is the new champ.

    No grey area here.

By any stretch of the imagination that was shocking refereeing.
    It’s simply bent.

That "walk to the left, walk to the right" ****, I feel it's a modern phenomena. Who started that ****? Was it Mercante Jr? He's always been a bit of a drama queen. The old timer refs, as incompetent as many were, didn't do the whole traffic cop routine!
