I am seriously not a big fan of Wlad and I think he would have big problems against Foreman. I think Foreman KO Klitschko, even if fighting in his 40's.
Foreman's major advantage over all of his opponents in the 70's was his size, strength and power; areas where he would be totally overmatched against Wlad, as well as grossly overmatched in terms of skill, experience and athleticism. Science and technology also favour Wlad, not just in terms of training, nutrition and PED's but every top fighter knows intimately about Foreman's style, whereas heavyweights in Wlad's mould were 15-20 years away. 6'3 vs 6'5.5 229 lbs against Young, 249 lbs against Thompson 2 Young Foreman's chin wasn't as good as the much heavier old variant, who was schooled by Morrison. Foreman was knocked down by light punchers Ali and Young, and knocked down multiple times by Lyle. The idea that Foreman could just walk through prime Wlad's punches and then not get worn out in the clinch is ludicrous. Some believe that Foreman had more heart or confidence than Wlad but that is doubtful. Wlad always came back stronger after his losses and showed great tenacity against Peter 1. He didn't quit the sport for 10 years after being schooled and dropped by what is in modern terms a small cruiser with a 19% KO ratio. Foreman was a self-confessed serial ducker who definitely wouldn't have fought an undefeated Joshua in his 40's, who was a big favourite over Wlad and regarded as a 6'6, 250 lbs Mike Tyson, with home and A-side advantage. All that being said, Foreman would have a significantly better chance of beating Wlad than heavyweights like Ali and Holmes because he was a much bigger puncher.
If Samuel Peter had Wladimir on the floor 3 times, then Foreman would finish him off. Whilst Wladimir is a better technical fighter, his clinching on the inside wouldn't work vs a guy like Foreman who is incredibly strong. I just don't see Wladimir not getting hit by Foreman at some point, and when he does its lights out for Wladimir.
The version of Old Foreman who took out Cooney and Rodrigues in 2 rounds and went the distance with Holyfield would crush Wlad.
This isn't close, Foreman was very skilled in cutting the ring off, Wlad can't in fight or clinch with George and Foeman's jab will stun Wlad , It's over inside 4 or 5 at the latest.
Foreman could touch wlad's chin with his finger and still knocks him out dead. He also has the strength to neutralize Wlad's clinch of death. Sure Wlad can hurt him with his legendary punching power, but his tendency to go for the grab and jab style instead of bringing the thunder and dropping bombs brings the percentage of his chances of winning down.
Good points, Wlad was always good against the little guys. I fancy his straighter punches against Foreman's looping shots.
