A cracking night of boxing tonight live on Sky Sports on the back of a great fight recently on BT Sports Yarde v Beterbiev.

The two main broadcasters of UK boxing delivering for the boxing fans along with their huge plethora of sport.

English Premier League Football followed by boxing on the same platform all part of the same subscription price = happy days.

To be fair, tonight's Boxxer Event isn't a big event, but there are a couple of interesting fights.

I'm not knocking any channel I subscribe to them all. I appreciate the heavy cost for having them all though.

No different to a standard monthly DAZN UK card in my book but with the bonus of watching a genuine World Title contender tonight in action.

Looking forward to a good night of action.

That period 2014 - 2017 approximately both British boxing and Matchroom were so hot with amazing shows on Sky without extra ppv charge. That run definitely inspired BT to team up with Frank.

I was like WTF initially when Sky paired with Boxxer but I think Shalom has done a decent job. Broadly I’ve enjoyed his events on Sky.

Some of the signings haven’t been great but he’s done a decent job sticking up on cruisers and light heavies - Riakpohre you can build a card around, Billam Smith has his fan base in Bournemouth and then Liam Smith gives a name to build cards around in the north west. Following Fraser Clarke with interest too.

I do think he has overemphasised women’s boxing relative to its quality and putting them in headliners but that is a discussion for a different thread.

As for Azim he will likely be stepped back to eg chief support after last night I would guess but he does appear to draw a crowd (up to a point - not filling out arenas yet).

I think will have to drop him down the card which is fine. Build him up as he looks like he needs a lot more work

I agree and think putting him lower down will help him to develop. He is still only 20 after all.

Definitely I agree... If Eubank vs Smith rematch gets agreed for May (after Ramadan) he would be perfect co main.. event..

Co main in a knockover on PPV? Surely you’d want more for your money

With Adam they may have to wait to put him in with anyone who has any power.

He got 10 rounds yesterday and that could prove to be very valuable going forward.

What about Calzaghe? Just a guess but I remember him emerging at a young age.

Sky are desperate for a cash cow, I'm not surprised they are pushing Aziz so much. Will be interesting to see how he develops. Also, wonder how his brother will develop too.

Breaking his hand at 20 is not a good sign though. Maybe it's just an anomaly, but...
