I definitely had him over Astrolabio, who I don't really rate that highly. I forgot about Apolinario, he's definitely #1 before and after this fight. I'd bet that guy becomes a legit world champ sooner rather than later. I may be a little harsh but Heno struggled to a draw in his last fight. The Filipino boxing scene is turning for the better as of late so I was just expecting more.

Even though I also predicted that Angulo would upset him.... I would've picked Sims pre-Angulo in a heartbeat to beat Chelli. But Chelli's wins in the Boxxer Tournament and his dominant wn against Brown, showed he's quite adept at cutting off the ring against slicksters, his solid defense and good beard, might end up proving problematic for Sims. This is a true 50/50 pain in the ass to predict.

I think the last fight of Chelli's I saw was Cullen and I wasn't even paying close attention to it. I might have seen the Brown fight or at least some of it but if I did I don't remember anything about it. He has a deceptive KO%, as in he can crack a bit and he definitely hits harder than it suggests he does, but Sims can crack a bit too so it should be interesting.

As a bit of a casual on this and not seeing a lot of Sims before I was astounded when I checked the boxrec rankings and saw that Sims was behind Chelli. I didn't realise that Chelli was that high. I know from what I have seen and heard that Chelli can certainly bang but can he catch Sims to do it. Currently on Sims via decision but might well change to Chelli if I see anything later on when checking them out.

Sims is a skillful boxer-puncher and theoretically his slickness and elusiveness should cause Chelli a lot of problems. But Chelli can punch a bit and Sims fought very negatively against Angulo and seemed intimidated by his power and he subsequently ended up losing a points decision to one dimensional lesser skilled slugger.

I'm shocked so few people have picked Chelli. He's the best kept secret in Britain. As a very young guy he sparred Chris Eubank Jr, George Groves and James Degale whilst studying at University. He should beat Sims Jr as I think his power is overrated so the fact Chelli keeps his lead hand so low shouldn't be too much of an issue tonight.

Astrolabio was in the right place at the right time with the Rigo thing, though there are worse things to be in boxing than lucky.
