USKY FURY hasn’t been signed yet pal. There’s nothing to derail, get a grip. Or are you another twentyman alt? Either way you don’t get to mandate the contents of a thread when its title is based on a mythical match up. Not on my watch. the real story of this forum is that there were only about ten actual posters creating all the traffic through all their alts. This place can now without question accurately be described as people arguing with themselves on the internet.
This content is protected Fury now favouring the home advantage and bigger slice of the pie that his team believes comes with that.
Usyk will not accept those however. From what I was told. fury was offered a 50/50 split in Saudi of a £70m site fee. That was to buy out the fight just like AJ vs Usyk 2. Usyk accepted Fury didn’t as Frank and Bob wanted it on BT and ESPN. Saudi agreed and lowered the fee to £20m the £25m. Usyk agreed Fury hasn’t as he wants originally £50m now will accept the original £35m plus a second purse of £20m on a second fight to be agreed within 12 months in Saudi. This led Usyk to agree seperate deals with Saudi as he was happy with his deal. If they go to the UK. Usyk is still happy to do it if it means getting the fight but will likely want 50/50 with a £15-20m guarantee. That’s going to be a big risk to Frank as he needs to ensure a Wembley sell out and over 1.2 million buys which will be tough on BT given previous numbers. My guess this is one last bluff from fury.
Regardless of Fury's alleged ban from America, the country was never on the table. The Middle East is where the money is at. Both men deserve at least £100,000,000 for this clash, because it is historic and it is between two undefeated boxers. It would be a crying shame for these athletes to receive a pittance in England. Joyce to face the winner in a mega fight in the Middle East or England, and win or lose for Fury, who would not want to see a fourth against Wilder after their splendid boxing? Perhaps it would be a wonderful way for Fury to bow out, against his most formidable rival.
The numbers you are pulling out are laughable. These men are looking for £100,000,000 purses and deservedly so. It would be a tragedy for these athletes to walk out with anything less. We are talking two of the greatest boxers to ever box.
They deserve what they generate and no more - whether that's stadium money, PPV or country-sponsored site fees or a mix of them. In a sporting sense they deserve no more than anyone else unifying; did Josh Taylor deserve £100m for example? Taylor and Serrano? Being a marquee attraction doesn't make you the most deserving. Joshua and Canelo deserve the biggest purses in boxing because they generate the most money. Whether they deserve any sporting success is up to them.
Josh Taylor is a very small man who most men on the street would be able to rough about in a street fight. Taylor and Serrano I do no consider boxers such is the poor quality. Fury and Usyk are sporting heroes, quite literally, whose names will be spoken about two centuries from now, Josh Taylor's won't. Both are also family men and have several children, as far as I'm aware. Things are tough in Ukraine and England is in a financial crisis. I hear your point, but I beg whomever to give these men what they deserve as times are tough for all. Time is running out for these men to make money. But that's my two cents.
I want to see if anyone bites. This fight had better happen. I'll lose any respect for Fury I have if it doesn't. I think it will happen though. It wouldn't be boxing if a big fight was made with minimal fuss.
This content is protected I suspect the issues being Fury I would suspect. Cannot stand the bloke. Mental health I don't care about money blah blah.
If you can't conjure a decent response, insult or dismiss the writer. Is that your ethos? Fury and Usyk are among the greatest to ever box. Are you denying that? The heavyweight division is by far the most prestigious. Are you disputing that? Josh Taylor, a man of 63kg, would be able to handle himself against men who are 50kg+ heavier, in a street fight. Is that what you're trying to say? You see fit to downplay the financial crisis that casts a shadow over the livelihoods of both Fury and Usyk, who seek to maximise their income? You may be a young man, but one day you may find yourself in the position of supporting a family. If you are unable to bring home the bread, it is the most debilitating thing in the world. Pay the men what they deserve. To put things into perspective, Joshua was paid somewhere around £10,000,000 to face Eric Molina. Molina was a tough man, a former heavyweight title contender, a tricky opponent for the best of them. Joshua earned every penny of that £10,000,000 but let's be honest, Molina pales in comparison to Fury and Usyk. Proportionately, it is not ridiculous to suggest both men should command £100,000,000. I think you are underestimating how hard it is to reach the top of any sport, never mind how difficult it is to have your name etched among the greats.
I didn't the read the rest of your post. But I thought it's obvious you're on a (well constructed) wind up. Sorry if I've given you too much credit.
Strange what happens and if not in Saudi Arabia - why? Says "both men", but let's keep the Fury hate and believe Usyk will fight "for free".
It has been widely reported by various outlets that Usyk agreed terms quite a while back. It’s not Fury hate, just everything is pointing at the Fury’s holding up this deal.
