The difference between PBC and GoldenBoy is that PBC is professional with network TV deals whereas Golden Boy are broke with no tv deal or pay per view platform. Empty vessels shout the loudest. Rematch clauses are pretty standard and the A side does not cede promotional rights hell the A side can get rights on the opponents future fights but that is not even being asked for. There are many ways to duck a fight !

 

Don’t need to diminish Garcia’s career as he needs no help in that regard.

Haney is busy with Loma and there is no point in fighting anyone else at the weight, since Ryan would struggle making 135.
Prograis is the only available belt holder at 140. IBF and WBA belts already have fights scheduled.
There is nothing for Ryan to do, besides wait or fight Prograis. And at some point Ryan is going to have to fight someone good again, might as well be Prograis.

 

Id favour Prograis to beat Garcia. Very good fight, I'd still rather see him fight Tank though.

 

PBC were always the lead promoters hence they have the upper hand and Golden Boy’s business is broke basically without a to deal. These should be non issues but making such BS issues is a way to get out of the fight. When PBC had Ruiz Jr fight AJ they did not try any of the BS as regards because they knew their fighter was the PBC ditto K2 did not try such crap in the Usyk vs AJ fights.

 

Garcia loses both fights and bet you any amount neither fight gets made.
