Taylor v Catterall 2 - Feb 4th, Glasgow, Sky PPV

Have to feel sorry for Catterall. He should be undisputed champ and getting a big pay day.

 

Yep. Said at the time that robbery can never be rectified as Catterall would never get a shot at being undisputed ever again.

 

Anyone know the deal with Taylor and Top Rank putting the Teo fight in the UK?

I thought Top Rank had a deal with Boxxer and Sky that they would give them talent they can’t make work in the US and would be on Sky.

Ben Shalom seems to have no idea about Taylor vs Teo in Scotland. If that does happen where is it going to be broadcast? BT?

Will be great if Taylor v Lopez is confirmed for Scotland.

 

I seen someone mention it may be held at Easter Road. Personally, I’d prefer someplace indoors.

 

Prefer it to be the OVO Scottish Hydro as great venue to watch boxing.

Will certainly be going to Easter Road if venue confirmed.

 

Hydro one of the best arenas in the UK but won't be watching as Taylor is ducking Catteral.

 

Jack Catteral is very effective in the ring but his dull style would not get me buying a ticket to watch him.

I was very surprised to hear the rematch was announced, Taylor then postpones due to injury and is now fighting Lopez in Scotland.

Many a fighter will tell you there is no justice in boxing at times and Catteral deserved an immediate rematch.

 

Dull or not he was robbed in a big way and Taylor is ducking him.

 

I’m sure the rematch will take place in a year or two if catterall keeps on winning. The Teo fight will be making loads more money and worldwide interest, so imagine that’s why they went that route.

Not sayings it’s fair, but it’s boxing. Probably works out better for Jack too in the long run, as if he got beaten badly by Taylor the first fight would be seen as a blip, and he’s disappear back to British level. This allows him to make some decent money over the next year or so before the rematch for bigger money.

That’s my thoughts anyway.

 

If Taylor is on it he beats Teo, it all depends on how focused he is though.

 

That wasn’t dull mate that was great skilled boxing.

 

We all have different opinions on fighters but Catterall does not excite me in the ring but used his style well on the night to win the fight against Taylor.

Catterall certainly deserves another crack at a World Title this year.

 

Looks like Taylor Lopez will be in the US. I hope Taylor wins but it’s a big blow for Sky and Boxxer that they couldn’t work out a deal to make it in the UK. They probably realised the PPV buys wouldn’t have been great.
