Quarry was a good fighter as you all know, but he took some vicious beatings throughout his career. Which fight would you say is where he took the most punishment?

I always thought it was the Norton fight. Quarry was well past it and he took hundreds of clean power shots in that fight. He looked in such bad physical condition after the fight, it was like he just came out of a car accident.

The Frazier fights instantly come to mind I remember there was left hook in their 2nd fight ? I forget the round. But I remember thinking how in the world is Quarry's head still on his shoulders, let alone him still being able to stand.

The 2nd Ali fight was disastrous for Quarry. Although either of the Frazier fights were even more brutal, especially the 2nd, Quarry was practically defenseless, and it would be better to be defenseless against Ali than Frazier. But I agree with you, I think Norton handed him the worst beating. Possibly due to remarks Quarry made. I don't think Ali or Frazier disliked Quarry as much as Norton did either.

A good chin is a gift and a curse. The Frazier beat downs stuck with me the most. I haven’t seen the Norton one in years so I’ll give it another look.

Frazier had Quarry out on his feet in the 4th round of the second fight, and then there was a body shot toward the end of the round. The fight could/should have been stopped then. There was no point in letting it continue.

They both held back. Kenny was convinced he was a racist. That's an empirical observation on my part and not a normative one. It's Kenny's opinion.

Jerry`s motto was There is no quit in a Quarry and that attitude caused him plenty of trouble

Absolutely, Joe Frazier ripping the hell out poor Jerry's head and body.
Quarry was brave as they come but trying to fight back against Frazier could be bad for your health.

Quarry was fat an worn out for Norton. Frazier beat a better version than than in the Quarry rematch. He also held back and asked Joe Louis to stop it. Joe liked Jerry unlike Norton. Quarry wanted a peice of Norton in the parking lot that day. Norton didn't want to oblige

Terrible end to a good fighter. Boxing for pay is a serious business.

Cumulative effects of heavy punishment rather one fight is what caused his chronic traumatic encephalopathy, so each successive beating became the worst.

Quarry fought in something like a golden era of boxing, but sadly his final years were less so.

That right he throws at 0:46 was just like a Joe Louis special, the way he pops the shoulder like he's throwing a ball. Wonder if Eddie Futch passed that on from his own sparring with Joe?
