Should Usyk Receive 50%?

This poll will close on Oct 11, 2025 at 9:23 AM.
  1. Yes of course, he's already a legend and has 4 world titles

    75.6%
  2. No, Arum is right, he doesn't deserve 50%, he should accept less

    24.4%

In America, Fury is the draw as far as I can tell. Casuals I know have never even heard of Usyk, yet most of them know who Fury is. I am not saying this is the norm, but I live in a city that has lots fight fans, make of that what you will. Usyk certainly deserves half as far as boxing credentials go and in my mind, if the fight is at Wembly then Usyk deserves a bit more.

Just as an aside, speaking of Philly, man if the Eagles win the bowl tonight, there's gonna be carnage out there lol! It'll probably be twice as crazy because there's still a lot of Phillies fans that need to replace that whole left in their souls after the World Series let-down.

If you believe this BS that it’s Arum LMAO. Arum doesn’t give a damn what the slice is. He is being a good promoter and following Fury’s request. Arum is being the bad guy for his client. Fury is the one who says he will or will not accept the percentage.

On the flip side of that coin, shouldn't Fury pay a percentage to Usyk to have hometown advantage?

70/30 split is fair, usyk isn't a draw

Tyson Fury vs Andy Ruiz in April at Wembley on ESPN PPV.

Oleksandr Usyk vs Deontay Wilder in May on ESPN PPV or DAZN PPV.

Usyk has 3 out of the 4 trinkets and has the better resume. 55-45 Fury is fair if the fight goes to the UK. Anywhere else is 50/50.

50/50 split of a mega purse which is likely bigger than the GDP of many countries is in my opinion very fair.
Both bring belts to the table, both are draws.
If either side say they are unwilling to accept a 50/50 split of the purse, then they are ducking the fight.

So Belly wants the P4P King/three belt unified King/former undisputed CW King/Olympic and World Amateur King Usyk to not only bring all three of his belts to his country where everything will be stacked against him and in Fury's favour (where the chances of him getting robbed are high and nonexistent for Fury) but he wants him to take a big pay cut too?

Belly knows that Usyk will be donating a large amount of that purse to helping the victims of the war in his homeland and that Usyk has been criminally underpaid up until very recently and he only has a few fights left to maximize his earnings.

In addition to winning Olympic gold, World Amateur gold, European gold, being the former undisputed CW King and the current three-belt unified HW King, Usyk is the current P4P King ie. widely considered the best fighter in the sport.

And he's beaten more world champions in 20 fights than Fury and his estranged boyfriend from Tuscaloosa have combined in 80 fights and it gets even more embarrassing when you factor in how few of Belly's and The Dosser's were in their primes when they fought them too.

Pay the man! Shame on you, Belly. Shame on you.

Its not homefield advantage if you have 3 of 4 belts. Its also about the finances and Fury has the PPV track record not Usyk.

    Really pretty simple stuff

Let's keep it simple: the big numbers are better than the small numbers.;)

So Usyks team is going to make an offer to Fury as the A-side then, right?? Nothing to do with the opponents those numbers eh, and Usyks split in those fights prove he is the A Side against Fury too right??

Fury being overpaid to build his A-side status is no concern for Usyk. That little loophole only works when you have a sanctioning body enforcing the splits.

As for opponents effecting sales, Usyk sold more fighting Chisora on Skysports than Fury did in any single fight. So, what does that mean? Chisora is on the same level as Joshua? No, of course, not. However it does mean UK viewers were happy to pay to see Usyk fight. And Fury isn't the A-side draw over Usyk which his team keeping saying he is. Going off general sentiment across many social media platform a lot of British fans like Usyk too and are getting fed up with Fury's antics, so venue sales are unlikely to be all Fury either.

This is a fight for undisputed between the two top guys. People want to see that far more than just Fury (his numbers tell us that).

Personally, I think this should be a 50-50 split down the middle. However, I'm just pointing out the obvious bull**** Arum and Fury are coming out with.

I rarely (almost never) agree with Arum but he's right. This is more of a 60/40, 55/45 split in favor of Fury here.

    Fury is the A side

And for those saying that Usyk has 3 belts...............all of those belts were Fury's that he for one reason or another was stripped of (he never actually lost them in combat). And Fury is the only HW that has actually held at one point or another all 4 belts.
