The judges trying to steal off Floyd was a bigger masterclass

Even though Canelo was green it was a superb performance - absolutely superb

Was he really that green? He had plenty of fights with experienced fighters (Mosley, control, Lopez) band had come of a big win over Austin trout who had just easily beat cotto and a year later he beat Lara so was he really green?

I saw Canelo a year before fight in Las Vegas. He was not green at all. he had already fought 40 professional fights defended his world title and many thought he would be Floyd. Floyd took him to school even though at age 36 he was way past his best. In fact I would go further to say Floyd made Canelo a better fighter and Eddie Reynoso a better trainer. The student cannot beat the master because let’s make no mistake Floyd schooled him and took away his 0.

I've maintained for years that this was a shutout and have mostly been dismissed as an outlier on the other end of the spectrum from CJ Ross' absurd 114-114 card...but slowly in retrospect I'm being more and more vindicated as a larger percentage of viewers revisit the fight and overcome the surpassing expectations bias to realize the few rounds Canelo is assumed to have won weren't really clear - or even arguable - for him at all. Just slightly less dominant Floyd rounds.

That's what happens when they give him decisions he doesn't deserve. Both Trout and Lara were real close fights, but i thought Canelo lost both. The Mayweather fight, as i recall it, was already signed before the Trout fight.

The way i remember it, it was 6 rounds were clear for Floyd, and six rounds were real close. So a 9-3 fight is fair.

More like Floyd had six dominant rounds and six closer but clear rounds. There were zero in which a reasonable scorer, viewing in a vacuum with a tabula rasa mind-wipe of all context or knowledge of either man, would say that Canelo was a clear and indisputable winner.

Canelo weighed 165lbs on fight night for Floyd, but vs Trout on fight night he weighed 174lbs. Canelo was a middleweight masquerading as a jr middleweight.Lopez was way too small for him, he was barely a welterweight at the time.

This was a shut out win really as it was really difficult to award Canelo rounds.

No fighter that has had 43 professional fight camps, and has been past the 10th round like 6 times, is green lol. Thats just absurd to me.

Was he in his prime? Of course not. But he surely wasnt green either.

Canelo wasn't green at all, that's just an excuse made by Floyd haters and Canelo fans.

This was a masterclass pure and simple, I scored it 119-109 to Floyd but 120-108 is perfectly acceptable.
