Matchrooms plan is or was to get the WBC to resolve their findings quickly, put him back in the rankings and then start the propaganda machine to say his name has been cleared. All the while fighting a legal battle behind the scenes with the BBBoC who they don't need to rely on for Benn to fight since he relinquished his licence. The long game was then that the board would back down as Benn would be fighting and it would be pretty pointless for them to fight a costly legal battle when It would no longer have any impact. It's fair to say the board have something pretty damning on Hearn/Benn but are having to play a legal chess match or they could end up in a lot of trouble themselves. It might never come to light what fully went on after the first failed test but Hearn and Benn really are scumbags with their legal muscle approach rather than holding their hands up when they got caught.
Yeah absolutely this. They thought they would get the Canelo deal from the WBC and then strong arm the BBBoC into dropping the case. Interestingly the day Benn dropped his license he was up infront of the board for an unrelated hearing. I wonder what else he has done other than being a PED abuser.
Yep. I think scumbags pretty much sums it up for me. The pair of them. I have never seen two people so tone deaf regarding the public opinion of this all, as much as Eggie Earn and that runt Con. They really think they can sway the public into thinking it was all the boards fault rather than the fault of the cnnt who failed the two tests in the first place. I genuinely couldn't get why people disliked Eggie so much before. I understood a little bit. He's a cheeky double glazed window salesman, when you strip away everything else but he was one of the lads with his style of promoting. However, the way he's behaved with this, has turned him into one of the bad men of boxing for me. A complete and utter loathsome liar and hypocrite. Con was a priik and a horrible runt from day dot so no change of opinion on him from me. Just more hate.
He can also say in every interview that the board knew about the failed test at the same time as Matchroom and the teams which he will be correct on, however, when the board get a letter at the same time informing them the failed test is a confidential matter and cannot be made public or acted upon or they face legal action, it sort of ties their hands. His threats towards the board and all this 'people will look at the board differently when the information comes out' is nonsense, he's referring to that fact, I believe, that the board felt that had no other option but to leak the results to a newspaper, getting the story out there so that public pressure would eventually cancel the show. This is the bombshell that Matchroom are referring to, the board breaks confidentiality agreements to the papers, it's a non story. The board sat on the news for 5 weeks because they couldn't do anything else about it or face the consequences, it was only after the second fail where they must have taken the view they must act and let it to be known to a newspaper what was going on, through a third party to avoid the heat but I assume Matchroom now must be able to prove this leak came from them.
Hearns junior has been successfully grooming casual boxing fans on what they should think about the sport for so long now, he hasn’t realised they’ve woken up en masse to his bullsht narratives Man’s latest tactic is to outright gaslight fans into questioning their own judgment and morality “guilty or innocent is irrelevant here koogs, the fans don’t know what I know” He has gone on record multiple times that his promoter character is largely made up for the cameras “all the world is a stage koogs” so when real life serious issues arise he is totally lost since his chirpy cheeky promoter character hasn’t practiced morality or compassion. Hence that time he stayed up all night pretending to cry in the mirror so he could livestream his grief on camera after the tragic death of Patrick Day (RIP). And this whole BENNE saga where he’s properly jumped the shark by trying to reframe the narrative of COVERING UP TWO FAILED DRUG TESTS and still doesn’t realise it.
This content is protected For all the money he is spending on technicality lawyers. He should invest a couple quid in a social media advisor
I would really love Benn and Hearn to come unstuck over this. Benn handed his boxing licence in to avoid being banned as technically the BBBofC can't ban him if he's not licensed with them. With most drug bans the ban is backdated to the date of the first failed test so they get away with a massive chunk straightaway whilst protesting their innocence. However in the case of Benn could the BBBofC not ban him from when he wants to renew his licence back? As technically he wasn't under their control without a licence so how could he justify that he has served a 12 month ban?
Think there is a lot left to run here. Also as he has handed his license in. The board aren't obliged to issue him a new one. They could just not issue him one on the grounds of bringing boxing into disrepute.
I have enjoyed what some of this has taught though. Such as you can have a private education like Conor, and still be braindead. It's his new born baby I feel sorry for...
Robert Smith is convinced he cannot box in the UK on a foreign license. He isn't anywhere near as valuable in the US/Dubai
There hands were not tied to the extent they decided to not sanction the fight 3 days before the event. Not buying at all that the earliest opportunity they had to do this was 3 days prior.
