I think that's completely reasonable considering Usyk holds the majority of the belts. There is an argument to say that as Fury has the bigger profile, he should command more of a split - but I think that's irrelevant in this situation, from a principle point of view.

Both are making huge money, 50/50 is fine. Especially if Fury's team try to make the fight at Wembley which, theoretically, gives him a marginal gain.

Why? What we're seeing in boxing in this era is hardly Fury's fault. Maybe the lack of sensible match-ups and unnecessary repeats seems worse at HW b/c we pay more attention to to this division.

Was Wilder-Ortiz 2 needed? Why did AJ-Wilder never happen? Wilder-Whyte? Why AJ-Franklin? Yeah, I know, Franklin-Whyte was close and this will avoid AJ-Whyte 2. But Whyte did win and AJ-Whyte 1 was many years ago. I could come up w/more of these examples. Too many fights that should have been made the past 5 years haven't. Too much politics, financial maneuvering, psych games, and bouts taking place in social media has been a problem for some time.

    .

For the record I thought Fury-Chisora 3 was unnecessary and don't care to see Fury-Wilder 4, although it would likely be exciting based on the previous three. If there is a Fury-Wilder 4 I'll root for Tyson to KTFO of DW. I want to see what excuse :shakehead: or cheating angle he comes up with this time.

    Well that's hardly a revelation.

We've all know that since this...

Usyk deserves all the accolades imo, win or lose. He’s chasing hard fights and putting it all on the line to prove he’s the best. A champions mentality. Travels, fights anyone, size not an issue. styles not an issue. A proper fighter. I can’t see why 50/50 of a massive pot should even remotely get in the way of this fight happening.

And I've touched on it before mate. He got 30% off Chisora, and had to beat AJ to get 50% in the rematch alone. Saying his PPV generates more without context is a little short sighted.

At Wembley there will be 80k Fury fans, the rest, and a splattering of Usyk fans. Maybe a couple of thousand at best, 5k and I'm being very generous.

All the AJ fans here arguing Usyk sells more than Fury certainly wont be going to Wembley.

EDIT - And I would even go as far as saying that if Usyk fought Whyte at Wembley, Whyte would sell more tickets.

Wilder won the first fight, you don't get decked twice against the champ and not lose on points

Maybe but I do not want to watch yet another clash between these two, Wilder should fight Joyce while Fury takes on Usyk and the winners meet.

If you win enough rounds to negate the knockdowns you do...

Fury wasn`t landing many shots until after the first knockdown, it had been a cagey match up till that point.

but wilder was landing less shots and missing more, meaning he was losing rounds

Sounds like bunkum this new twist, but nothing would surprise me when Fury is involved.

I'm expecting Fury v Usyk to be announced for April 29th at the Tommy Fury / Jake Paul farce. If that doesn't come to pass, I know which side I will be holding accountable!

After this we need a Chisora IV.
