I was curious what type of signed boxing memorabilia do people have? I have sent off photos to boxers like Barry Mcguigan, Naseem Hamed, and David Haye who have kindly signed them and returned them to me. I was just wondering what do other people have?

Signed? I have two signed gloves by Sugar Ray Leonard. One with a personal inscription. He was the guest speaker at a sales meeting when I worked for Pepsi. I was in the communication department and I spent a long time with him talking and hanging out while he was signing gloves. So he signed a couple for me. One signature you can't even read. He was signing so many gloves they just looked like scribbles. The one with the inscription is much clearer.

Your lucky i would like to have Sugar Rays signature. I know what you mean about people who are signing so many things that the signature is unreadable. It makes you wonder how anyone can really authenticate anyone else signature in such cases.

If you're a signature collector, and you can write a little bit, try to get a press pass to a major fight card through one of the many boxing websites around. If you have a press pass, you can bring a laptop in a bag with you into the arena and include some things you want signed. You can also go backstage. Many fighters not on the card are at ringside and mulling about back where the press conferences are held.

You could probably get some signatures and take photos of them signing whatever they are signing. That helps to authenticate it. It's also nicer to meet them, as opposed to just sending away for signatures.

    Just a suggestion.

Thanks for the suggestion. Another good place to get signed boxing memorabilia is at ex boxers meetings. I'm a member of the London Ex Boxers Association which meets up once a month.

I have gloves signed by Ali, Tyson, Buster Douglas, Hagler, Julian Jackson, McCallum, Toney, and my boy Smokin' Bert Cooper. A friend also gave me a bunch of memorabilia for Jerry Quarry and Frazier.

I have IBF & WBA world championship belts signed in gold ink by Iron Mike. Got them signed on his one & only trip to Australia in 2012.

Unfortunately I'm no pro when it comes to getting memorabilia pieces signed & the signature on the WBA belt got smudged slightly when I put the belt back in a bag too quickly after he signed it. Made sure I waited for the ink to dry on the IBF belt before I put that one away!
