I'm not gonna call a guy that fired his boxing coach over not letting him continue to get whooped a ducker. If he's free he can probably get a higher percentage of the money. Getting rid of the various promoters is one of the things needed to repair the sport.

Just look at their careers, if anybody is ducking it's Deonkey.

Difference though is Wilder is a big puncher, shields isn't. Imagine the damage Deontay can do with MMA gloves.

I don’t think either PBC or DAZN are going to make it long term. They both seem to have massively overpaid for a lot of their fighters.

I guess he just should have signed the 100 milly deal with Hearn & DAZN to begin with.

Old uncle Al out of money.

PBC is a money losing business. Without an infusion of cash, there is no way they can keep this going. And who is going to invest in a sinking ship?

More and more of their fighters are sitting on the shelf and that is bad for boxing.

Deontay Wilder wants to be involved in some big fights before he retires, and PBC can't deliver.

So it makes sense he will look to other promoters. Joshua-Wilder would be a lucrative fight, especially in England. Wilder-Joyce, Wilder-Whyte, or Wilder-Dubois would be interesting.

Wilder needs to cash in on his name. He’s been exposed and probably can’t sell another can crushing bum train of opponents. Maybe get one more big fight before shuffling off. I bet he’s looking hard at that MMA guy Uganu or whatever his name is. Wilder can KO an MMA guy even a tough one. In a boxing match at least.
