Leigh Wood vs. Mauricio Lara Acosta & Dalton Smith vs. Billy Allington RBR.

Going in I thought Wood was the far superior boxer but didn't trust his chin. I picked Lara to win cause I thought he would catch Woods while losing on card.

 

Tough one to call in the heat of the moment I guess. 13 seconds to go, he should've let him go on.

 

The look on Woods face when Davison threw the towel in ,poor lad could not believe it !

 

BOOM!

 

I think that it is the first time in more than 20 years watching boxing that I don't agree with a corner throwing the towel.

 

So was Kid Galahad vs Kiko Martinez. His corner let him fight out the round. Remind me how that ended again?

 

And just like that Lara is finally champ. Great fight and comeback from Lara. Probably a bit premature stoppage but Wood looked out of it.

 

There is a rematch clause for this fight, wouldn't mind a sequel.

 

Harsh towel. Let him see out the 10 secs. If he holds Lara, he gets to the bell.

Great fight though, more of that DAZN. Worth my monthly sub. Wood/Warrington in summer.

 

He should have been given the opportunity to finish the round imo

 

You think Wood doesn't get bodied if he was allowed to fight on?

 

At least see if he could clinch effectively, and if not, then fine throw the towel....

 

I do, big difference between Conlan and Lara.
