Diamante's Annoying Catchphrases

I really hate when he says "Fighter X weighed 160 pounds BANG ON". WTF does that mean? Are you an American Diamante or not? No red blooded American would say "Bang on". You're sounding like Gwyneth Paltrow with the fake Brit accent.

 

The repeating "Are you ready?" drives me nuts.

 

Why would he supposedly do that?

 

Lol yeah there pretty bad but I let them slide cause I met Diamanté once and he’s a pretty nice guy.

 

Whilst I really want to dislike him because of his haircut based on the interviews I've seen I find him quite likeable. And he's clearly very passionate about boxing

 

"The fight starts now" annoys me the most because the fight never starts "now" so he's just lying. If he ended with it I think it would be fine.

 

I agree, I mean, it's not as if the crowd are really psyched up in anticipation and just about ready to watch the main and final event of the evening, so of course they're probably fully distracted at that point, aren't they?. Everyone is on their phones texting etc and just chatting amongst their selves and not paying attention, some are even nodding off..

If Diamante didn't remind them and scream 'are you ready' they'd all miss the start of the fight, right?.

"The fight starts now" is decent IMHO even if it isn't entirely accurate.

I mean he could hardly shout "the fight starts in a few minutes after the introductions have been completed"
