Add to this that Fury has had to really try to earn his popularity, talking non stop, singing after fights, releasing a Xmas song, doing a documentary, the whole WWE thing, books, Mental Health champion campaign etc. but he never hit the levels of hysteria that a better looking lad from Watford reached and because of the way AJ was promoted and the route he went down, as long as he didn't lose, it was almost effortless outside the ring, just say all the right stuff "stay humble" and ride the train for as long as you can.

Anyone who still believes AJ v Fury didn't happen because of AJ should realise who the real problem was.

Honestly if even the Saudis think he’s asking for too much he must be asking for like 100 million plus.

AJmania > Furymania > AJ now. Already said that boss

And don't kid yourself, if AJ blasts Franklin out in impressive fashion, and then blasts Whyte out as well, people will start returning to him. Maybe only a trickle at first, but it will come. Make no mistake, AJ's good looks, his drip and his bumbling personality are kryptonite for a lot of women and a lot of youngsters look up to him. I was gloating to a lot of teens and tweens in my workplace each time AJ lost or Fury won, and some of them are STILL more interested in AJ-Fury, AJ-Wilder etc. than they are Fury-Usyk, Fury-Ngannou etc.

In fact, if we're gonna get deep into this, I've always felt, despite being the better boxer with the better accomplishments, Fury's fame is a plastic attempt at recreating AJ's. Mental health and a sob story is an easy thing to exploit, especially when you're not the best looking bloke in the world. AJ's endorses things like Lynx and Lucozade, whereas Fury sells 'Furocity' and ice lollies at Iceland. Fury's probably foaming at the mouth that the Saudis won't pay him what he feels he's earned. Meanwhile AJ in AD2023 is bumbling more than ever and seems shellshocked by life each time he's interviewed - and yet he still lives rent-free in the GK's head

Yep agreed, no matter how good Fury is he isn’t as big a star as some of his fans try to make out, and deffo not on the same level Joshua was a few years ago. (Despite being clearly the better fighter)

Disagree with that. It’s not Joshua, it’s his promoters though.

I wouldn't be shocked if his so insecure that whatever AJ recieved in Saudi vs Usuyk that he demanded to be paid more.

The good thing about this is it should finally put to bed the myth that some Fury fans believe. The myth that Fury doesn't care about the money should now finally be put to bed.

That's out of order. He (pretended to) give millions to charity. The man's a (massive liar) Saint.

If Franklin upsets Joshua, Eddie will cash out Joshua against Fury or Wilder (it could be like a funeral the night of April 1st) battered and beaten on a crappy app, non event, not on ppv - getting a CRAP percentage of the new sign ups lol - MASSIVE GAPS in the stands (More than embarrassing) Don't even compare the Usyk 2 purse to the Franklin purse lol (It's laughable)

To think this all started at Esprit Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany - 28th November 2015 - YES, The mighty Tyson Fury beat Wladimir Klitschko in his own backyard for the WBA (Unified), IBF, WBO, IBO and the Ring Heavyweight Titles.

To think that Anthony Joshua 'could' nope 'maybe' nope 'try' out do Tyson Fury in America (The greatest country with a rich history of boxing) lol (My belly hurts from all that laughing) First fight, he gets beaten by Andy Ruiz Jr.

Does Tyson Fury have 3 losses?

We know Joshua has 3 losses (That's a fact)

The meltdown inside the ring after the Usyk 2 fight was a classic followed by the crying at the post fight press conference tells me he could be broken.

Expecting another 94,000 sell out come April 29th at Wembley Stadium for Undisputed.

Fake people in the end expose themselves.

It is now 70 days since Fury invited 'Gappy' into the ring and accepted his challenge next.

Very sad state of affairs when at least one of the multi millionaires must be attempting to squeeze an extra few million pounds to fight.

I agree it isn’t great for us lot, however annoyingly if Usyk doesn’t get this fight he has no one else to box for decent money and Fury knows it. He’s holding all the cards here and knows he can demand extra.

Hopefully it gets signed shortly. With Tank Garcia dragging on and even Wilder Ruiz and Spence Thurman not announced it’s starting to become stale and very boring.

Absolutely no idea what this waffle is about or where it's going exactly

Don't think anyone here question's Fury's superior skills and spirit, or the mess AJ and Hearn have made of their careers, or AJ's popularity plummeting to Dillian Whyte levels in recent times, but the fact of the matter is AJmania 2016-2019, or whatever start/end points you want to use, eclipses what Fury has right now or has had for several years now. AJ did a million PPVs against Takam

And to play devil's advocate here... AJ actually fought Usyk. Twice. Not Chisora a third time for thirty quid. Boxing fans care about the sport, not figures who claim to be bigger than the sport like Tyson 'President Gasman' Fury

Not sure about that. Usyk can happily trundle off, reputation intact, and fight his mandatories. Sure, he won't make as much as fighting for undisputed, but even a Wilder fight would be a decent payday for him.
