Fury isn't smart he's a genius and that shows when he gets serious in or out of the ring which is rarely because he doesn't need to be serious. This content is protected Crawford is clearly extremely capable and a proper thinking fighter but he lacks the balls and balls are just as important as brains. Anyone who is a Crawford fan must be frustrated what a wasted career.
Floyd Mayweather was the smartest of all time. He carefully chose his opponents and fought with a defensive style that prevented him from being damaged. He marketed himself brilliantly, and made more money than any boxer in history.
Unironically I think the answer actually is JP. Who else has come from a background of zero experience in professional sports (let alone boxing) in his mid-20s, to being arguably the biggest draw in boxing? No one else could make hundreds of thousands of people want to buy a PPV headlined by Tommy “Love Island” Fury except for Jake Paul. It’s not an exaggeration to say that no one has ever done what Jake Paul is doing right now. The man is a marketing genius.
Right now, in and out of the ring?. I'm about 20th in the thread to say so, and in full agreement with those who have already voted for Usyk. Add in his willingness to travel, personality, morals and class, and you have a very, very unique man. 2nd only to me, as in addition I've got the looks too....
AJ, Ryan G, and Canelo are pretty smart with milking their fame. In the ring it’s guys like Usyk, Crawford, Spence, Haney, and Loma off the top of my head. Ortiz Jr’s ring iq seems to be improving in every fight as well.
He underestimated Maidana though and he probably started to realize that close to the fight hence why he forced him to wear foam gloves and paid him off.
Brace yourselves fellas because I'm about to blow your minds This content is protected This content is protected
Currently? Wlad and Vitali, Barrera, Calvin Brock I'd say are probably the 4 top intellectually. Or is the question re: in ring IQ?
