Fury is just being pure greedy.

I actually think if this doesn't happen, Ruiz was meant to be fighting Wilder in an elimantor for the WBC, just get Ruiz to fight Fury in April.

Was the source of this information Fury, Usyk, Warren, Arum, Klimas, Mandy Staveley or Salman Bin?

Was from someone linked directly to the fight not mentioned In your post. Almost repeated word for word from the person that had the convo with him.

They plan on doing the in-house fights would be my guess. Dubois in April. Joyce in July. Fury picks up a cool £20m for fights he knows he wins. Both Usyk and AJ are still on the table after that.

Incredible sum of money to turn down for fighting an opponent described as 'a middleweight' by Fury.

Maybe voluntary as he doesn’t technically have a mandatory. Dubois and or Joyce are in position to pick up a vacant belt if Usyk vacates. Be interesting if that’s true about Dubois injury as if he’s called my guess AJ becomes WBA mandatory and Usyk vacates.

there’s so much politicking/positioning happening at the minute it’s unreal.

No where near as much. On this, I think he could box Dubious if the Fury fight doesn’t happen. Wilder has not mentioned Usyks name in the last 2 years.

I honestly don’t think he can be called a great boxer. Maybe great in this crappy era, but he wouldn’t have lasted with Lennox, Bowe etc. He would have got badly hurt.

Here is Wilder saying if given the choice of next opponent after Helenius, it would be Usyk (October, 2022)

Dubois v Fury in April would be embarrassing. It's one thing Usyk being forced to fight this guy as a mandatory, it's another for Fury to pick him as a voluntary.

Especially after they blatantly fixed the Dubois v Lerena fight on the Fury v Chisora 3 undercard. I noticed Robert Smith of BBBoC was brushing that corruption under the carpet on TalkQueensberry the other day.

Might be harsh but Usyk doesn't sell any tickets. Fury can sell out Wembley on his own. Usyk would struggle to sell out the O2.

    I think 60-40 is a fair split.

Sure, he won't think of Fury anymore. But it also makes sense: he has a certain chance of winning against Usyk only if he lands once or twice on him and if he does so, he'll have four belts and the Ring Magazine's. Yet I doubt he really wants to face any top, I even have some doubts he wants Ruiz.
