Just to quote my own post like a weirdo, Jimmy Paul was actually Kronk fighter. So he was trained by Emmanuel Steward like Lewis was, he had a powerful right hand like Lewis, was tall and lanky at the weight, and was poised and patient in the ring like Lewis, see his fight vs Blake for reference.

Jimmy Paul is actually very underrated, he was actually a pretty good fighter and was involved in some memorable scraps. It's just his championship fights often went 15 rounds, and he said that all those long distance fights took it out of him. And I believe him because he was lifeless against Haugen and didn't seem to have it that night.

Emmanuel Stewart called him the most talented fighter He every saw in the gym. Quite a statement. I don't think Emmanuel worked with him and I forgot the exact circumstances of how Stewart got to witness him work in his gym, but I remember him saying that while calling one of Guzman's fight.
Very talented guy for sure. At Featherweight He was a bit unlucky that Scott Harrison pulled out of the fight They had scheduled, that could've opened the doors to big fights for him - but after that He only has himself to blame, yeah.
I think He ended up in hospital making weight for Nate Campbell fight and then after He came in 10 lbs overweight for Funeka rematch, no major networks wanted anything to do with him, since it was clear He wasn't serious about his career anymore.

Honestly I know it seems crazy now considering how highly rated Pacquiao is P4P, but i think a fit motivated Guzman would give Pacquiao absolute fits, and would have an outside chance of beating him.

Whilst Pacquiao is an amazing fighter, he only had 1 fight at Lightweight vs David Diaz then skipped the division entirely. There is quite a few interesting matches for Pacquiao at Lightweight during this time vs Joan Guzman, Joel Casamayor, Nate Campbell, Juan Diaz, even Funeka himself would be interesting for the height reach obstacle. And let's not forget Edwin Valero was slowing coming up the ranks aswell, that would've been an amazing fight.

I think Joe Brown might fall into this category.

At 5ft 7.5ins tall Brown wasn't especially tall for a LW.

I don't think there has been a freakishly tall ATG LW, not to the extent of Al Brown at BW, Hearns at WW or Foster at LHW.

The tallest of my top 10 all time LWs is the 5ft 9ins Ike Williams.
