Fury and Arum Holding Up Fury-Usyk, They Don't Think Usyk Deserves 50%

Lol. You s**t on Joshua's resume when Fury is the only WBC belt holder in history who voluntarily "defends" his title against an almost 40-year-old, 12-losses guy who wasn't in the top 10 of the rankings and whom he'd already beaten twice 10+ years ago. I bet you happily paid good money to see that gimmick, mate

 

This is like Tyson/Bowe/Lewis all over again. (prime-prime)

One of those fighters could have walked away with a greatly enhanced legacy to carry into history.
Instead, there's hypothetical threads and enduring disappointment decades later.

I was pretty young when that mess was playing out, and more interested in other sports, but I remember it.

Personally, I've gone from quite liking Fury to just being fed up. I'm probably not the only one.
If it actually all comes together over the next few weeks - that's ok.

Remember Usyk has never has problems negotiating with others. Even the Joshua fights had no problems when rematches can usually be difficult.

 

Only a duck if the fight doesn't happen.

I am afraid that we might have to endure another Fury vs Wilder boring rerun.

If Fury doesn't fight Usyk without a legitimate reason I'll do something terrible to myself.

 

If he does duck it convinces me of my current belief that he isnt confident enough in himself to take this fight with Usyk.
He just wants to continue the hypetrain and get accolades, money and be a champ in his mind then take this tough legacy fight with.

Fury knows boxing and knows he struggled with Cunningham so Usyk poses a big threat.
He seems to want to weasel out of this fight in a Floyd way where his fans will accept his ducking.

All in all I expect more from the fighting peoples champ etc... Usyk seems 10x more a warrior than him. I hope he proves us wrong and fights Usyk next before the summer. Anything later or fighting any other opponent fight I will consider a clear duck of Bowe vs Lewis proportions.

Tyson can then **** off into bolivian doing coke and fighting ufc fighters or chisora for the 8th time.
Lets hope he mans up.

He is easily the 2nd most popular boxer in the world. I hope he doesn't duck, but that is fact.

 

Ever since the disgraceful Chisora trilogy, even Fury fans started to get fed up with him. His popularity is clearly nosediving at the moment. Just look up his IG or FB page to see for yourself what his own fans post there these days.
