Should Usyk Receive 50%?

This poll will close on Oct 11, 2025 at 9:23 AM.
  1. Yes of course, he's already a legend and has 4 world titles

    75.6%
  2. No, Arum is right, he doesn't deserve 50%, he should accept less

    24.4%

If the problem is really the money, then they can go 50:50 and 60:40 from the PPVs and tickets in favor of Fury, as he's the guy that's going to generate more of them. But I suspect both sides being unfair, it's just easier to go over Fury as he's guilty of being complicated (whether for good or bad). Be so short on details for months and just doing ping pong with "sign the contract" (blaming the other) speaks bad for both sides for me, as if one can prove it's the other's fault, wouldn't have done it.

Usyk deserves the 60%. He's the better fighter, more accomplished career and fighting the big guys and giving them hell. Fury is just a big dude with very good movement. But, to your point, 40% of something is better than 100% of nothing.

I think gaps should get the 60%. Sure, Fury is the bigger draw, but not the better fighter.

Only in your crackhead reality could the bigger draw (much bigger) get 40%

    lol

None of these guys are dummies they know what they can draw against who etc etc.

There are a few things in there that I disagree with (the last time Usyk had pro-Russian sentiments was over a decade ago - and it wasn’t even unique as he is from Simferopol where Ukrainians speak Russian as their first language, but everything changed after 2013-2014 with the Ukrainian crisis and of course last year when Russia invaded Ukraine), but the core message of your post is excellent.

Is that why it hasn’t taken so long. What is the problem here... if it doesn’t happen by Sunday then I lose all respect for Fury

    No.

    Usyk is not there.

If the Saudi deal got made then the announcement would have happened this weekend. Turns out the Saudi's only **** money up the wall when they have new venue's or stadiums to promote which makes sense when they spend billions on them what's £100m to promote it with the biggest event?

I suspect Fury Usyk is delayed to the end of the year and will happen in Saudi. Usyk won't accept 60:40 and will be happy to wait. The REAL problem is one of the belt orgs will probably strip Usyk for Eddie Hearn bribe money to give AJ a belt.

Fury won't budge to 50:50...he will fight John McDermott if Usyk fight gets delayed again.

    Fight gets delayed

Usyk is stripped by one of the belt orgs which is handed over to AJ for Hearn bribe money.

Neither Fury or Usyk fight in the summer

Saudi then offer the money with a new stadium to promote for the winter.

350 pound Fury fights 180 pound Usyk who single handily held off 10,000 Russians during the war effort.

Both look shocking and Usyk just gets smothered to death.

    Redemption regarding big mc
    One last hurrah
One and one do a chis with him
Give that guy the boxing community dollar
Like fluid as done in the pathetic sky docu on the build up with big mc getting in camp for one last hurrah would be better than the fight its self the face off everything
The spectacle for what it is would be huge

I was just looking at McDermott’s Boxrec, and I didn’t realize it had been a decade since he last fought. Just curious…I assume you’d have Fury, Usyk, and Joyce as the top 3 heavyweights (not necessarily in that order), but who do you have as 4th and 5th?

    Fury, Joyce

    3rd & 4th is close Usyk & Wilder

    Then AJ 5th

but AJ could beat Wilder. Wilder could beat Usyk & AJ. AJ can never beat Usyk. Usyk has beat AJ and could outbox Wilder.

Personally i'd like to see Joyce or Bakole chin AJ to finish him off.
