Could have got the payday without the rematch. Will be interesting if he’s got a guarantee on the rematch

He outboxed Williams in that rematch. Was almost easy for him.

This would be the sensible thing to do, but hey ho its boxing even the most obvious of simple things never materialise.

I have my doubts Eubank even wants the rematch. This might be the out he needs

Disagree William's froze when beefy put it on him
Liam is world class imo just needs everything ticking in tandem
Always seems to be slightly short
    Even though he schooled mark

I agree he froze 100% but Smith didn’t have to put it on him. From what I remember it was from the first bell and Smith didn’t have to get out of 2nd gear.

Liam Smith said for years no one will see the best of me until I gets a run of fights together, and gets momentum. I think that view has been proved correct with his recent form, that's came as he has fought regularly.

Who would still beat Smith. He’ll come into the ring around 175lbs.

Won a world title, c’mon mate we don’t need to hear that, he’s never been a genuine WC. He boxed for a vacant, least prestigious alphabet belt against a guy who was literally area level in England.

Makes Bellews sham world title win actually look credible (which it wasn’t).

Finally someone said it. Been seeing a lot of the Liam Smith world champ stuff but he beat a rubbish opponent and defended it against similar opponents. In any other sport with legitimate world titles (i.e. one) he would be nowhere near being a world champion lol

he’s had two halves to his career. first, as a protected Warren Boxing Organisation “champ” with defences against the likes of John Thompson, Jimmy Kilrain Kelly, some guy called Pedrag, then cashing out v Canelo. second, as a hard nut gatekeeper who fights abroad in away corners and bashes pretenders back down to British level. much prefer Beefy 2.0

Agree. Bellews win has aged well tho hasn't it since Makabu is still WBC Champ
