I'm not betting, but if I were, I would have to go with Haney at this point. Loma is a LIVE dog for sure though

Loma is past it. Years ago you'd have to favor him to win, but Haney is not only bigger, he's also better at this point. Haney UD

Your knowledge of ancient boxing history is better than mine. I am not too familiar with the accomplishments of those fellows. I do however believe that Devin Haney will be historically far more significant than Vasili Lomachenko and that he will rank higher on historical P4P lists than Loma once their careers have ended.

Fair enough. You may be right, I doubt it, but in the unlikely event you are, I certainly won't "see it" when they fight. Haney would need to do much more to surpass Loma.

Could Loma win? absolutely. But I still don't think he will.

No shock value for me as I think Loma wins this with a MD.
Loma is more skilled and yes he is the smaller man. I think this is a great fight and Loma will have some real struggles in the early rounds.

    Loma MD

Haney has the edge in height, reach, and age that will heavily benefit him while Loma has the experience and skills to his advantage but will be undersized and has also slowed down to the point where he's much more vulnerable. Haney has to be favored but I really don't want to count Loma out at all. Part of me thinks that Loma has a bit more in the tank to surprise everyone but we shall see.

Lmao at the Loma fans who are threatened by Haney, trying to act like Loma is old and shot lmfao. It’s a 50/50 fight, Loma is far from shot. Same people who praised Loma for beating a 40 year old Rigo coming up 2 weight classes.

If Haney wins, it's surely not by KO. If anything, Loma can KO Haney late

Reminds me a little bit of Gamboa-Crawford.

Wouldn't shock me at all. Loma is clearly the better fighter but he's also in his, what, 3rd or 4th weight class coming off a very long layoff against a much larger defensive oriented fighter whose longer, taller, and heavier.

Its a tough task but Loma is better. Whether or not he's sharp on the night remains to be seen. It was Teo's size that gave Loma so much trouble. Can Loma adjust from that loss and be more active in the early going? I dont know but wouldnt be surprised if he Haney is too athletic or Loma is just too sharp

Loma doesnt fight much like Gamboa style wise but there are other similarities. Obviously Haney has a much larger frame (like Crawford did) and both Loma and Gamboa were inactive leading up to the fight.

I expect a good fight. Loma is going to show up in best of his ability which remains to be seen at this point of his career

"Far more historically significant than Vasiliy Lomachenko"??

Ah......no! Loma had four consecutive title fights where his opponents retired on their stool, which has never been done before in the history of professional boxing:

    Guillermo Rigondeaux
    Miguel Marriaga
    Jason Sosa
    Nicholas Walters

We may see a fifth fighter do same if Haney doesn't get KO'd first.

It wasn't Teofimo size that gave Loma trouble, it was the fact that Loma had a bad shoulder to which he had surgery right after the fight.
