Fights must end in a TKO or KO to be considered inside the realm. For example, a slugfest like Omar Figueroa vs Nihito Arakawa all though a great fight would not qualify since the fight went the distance. Ill start it off, 6 knockdowns in 4 rounds and ends in a KO, Kevin Kelly vs Naseem Hamed
Orlando Salido TKO Terdsak Kokietgym. The fight was stopped in the 11th round. Salido went down in three different rounds and Kokietgym went down in four separate rounds.
Bert Cooper vs Michael Moorer Kip Diggs vs Derrell Coley Kostya Tszyu vs Diosbelys Hurtado Carl Thompson vs Ezra Sellers Alex Stewart vs Ezra Sellers
All good mentions actually, I saw Tszyu and my mind automatically went to Raf R. lol. Bert Cooper vs Moorer was Like DAAM! as I recall.
Joe Jeanette vs. Sam McVey lasted 49 rounds in France, 1909. McVey and Jeanette knocked eachother down numerous times.
I knew little about Caveman Lee other than he never grew out of his sideburns from the Boy Scouts. I just watched this fight twice! Grimy and rugged, great add! (grimy in the sense of the footage and rugged in the sense of the fight itself)
Let’s give Marcos Maidana Vs Victor Ortiz some love. Ortiz and Maidana both down in the first round. Ortiz knocks Maidana down twice in the second round. Ortiz down again in the 6th and his left eye completely swollen shut causing the ringside doctor to stop the fight (although Ortiz didn’t look too keen to carry on anyway)
If you want to see a wild fight then you have to watch the first fight between Dwight Walker and Mark Frazie. I've copied my writeup on this fight from our scorecard thread as well as the youtube video. Well worth watching as well as the post-fight interview, which is also quite dynamic. Dwight 'Tiger' Walker v Mark Frazie I This fight is a blast from the past for me. I remember watching this back when NBC was flooding the airwaves with boxing and I loved the fight for all the time it lasted and all that occurred. Here we go: Round 1: 10-9 Frazie (scored it Even but 1 point deducted from Walker for a kidney punch) Round 2: 10-10 Even (scored it for Walker, but Mercante called a knockdown on Walker which appeared dubious and it was the only thing of note that Frazie did in the round. Gave Frazie a point for the knockdown but could not give him the round for that.) Round 3: 9-9 Even (scored it for Walker but had 1 point deducted for a low blow) Round 4: 10-9 Walker Round 5: Walker DQ'd for another low blow Total through 4 completed rounds: 38-38 Even (actual scores not known) This fight has to be seen to be believed, but don't turn it off after the fight because the post fight interview in the ring between Pacheco, Mercante, Murad Muhammad and Walker was almost as good as the fight. They cut it just as they started interviewing Frazie, but I do recall Pacheco asking Frazie if he would give Walker a rematch and he immediately responded, "Sure!" I recall seeing the rematch too but Frazie came in with a real plan and completely outclassed Walker in the rematch. Anyways, this is so bizarre I had to post the video with my text. I hope you enjoy it for some craziness. This content is protected
