People here may be too hard on the guy and will criticize him for not taking on real boxers but he's making astronomically more money bashing up cringy youtubers and celebrities than he would if he went up the ranks fighting journeymen who come to lie down in 12 seconds. He's ended the clownshow that is Jake Paul and has restored order to the public limelight of boxing He'll act as the perfect gatekeeper for goofies that want to put on the gloves for the views and internet fame Do the sport of boxing a favor Big Tom and clean up these disney stars
If you are interested in fame and fortune, now more than ever in today's world you have to sell yourself. Even Ali, who certainly had a lot of substance, did his Gorgeous George schtick to sell tickets. I found the Paul fight and almost everything about it sad and distasteful, but I'm an old man.
It seems obvious to me that Jake Paul is on PED's the improvement in his strength and stamina is not natural for a non athlete who only started boxing. He has lots of money and would have access to the best gear and a experienced team that would know when to cycle on and off.
Yep. He has 2 critical things no other novice boxer has. An endless supply of cash and nothing but free time
Man i just watched both him & the other Fury for the first time as background for lunch & i didn't expect much but for all the years of buzz & people interest it didn't impress & was boring, Plus Shawn Porter has long passed Bradley in bad commentary as the whole time Porter was on a mission to embarrass himself while yapping alongside his buddy, talk about being an overzealous ass , the dude is the biggest corny Try Hard.
I watched it again. I scored it 77-73 Fury, Jake won 2 rounds imo, R3 and R8 (because of the KD). R5 was 10-8 Fury and R6 was 9-9.
The Paul brothers were on YouTube discrediting Fury’s win. They said if he was a real boxer he should have won easy and celebrated like he won the World Cup. Fury was the betting underdog and the vast majority of writers predicted he would lose and get knocked out. He has every right to celebrate
I personally don't understand why someone would be a fan of the Paul Brothers but to each their own I guess.
I think people need to give Jake Paul more credit. He's a guy who started boxing in his 20s but has dedicated his life to it full time. He could have dipped in and out of the sport like the other you tubers who only seem to fight when they need a bit of publicity but Jake has done nothing but box for about 4 years. He's a bit of a dick for sure but he's definitely more mature and less annoying than he was when I first became aware of his existence.
