    Both JLC and Maidana had cases for 7-5 wins and very strong cases for at least draws in 1st fights.

    This isnt the board for PBC deepthroating. Things are more objective here. Try sherdog or pbc if you want to slob on Floyd's knob

    He's got a case for being TBE in the 130lb division.

    Overall, nah. Can think of at least 15 guys who I think clearly have better cases; and that number probably goes as high as 20-25.

    Watch the video if the interview after the fight is still on it you'll see it for yourself. Little Baby Floyd crying because Tony Weekes didn't protect him from nasty Marcos Maidana. Some TBE huh

    After reading this my friend I think its YOU that needs to study boxing. Floyd lost BOTH JLC 1 & Maidana1 but as usual the Vegas judges gave him the decisions

    So boring to talk about this subject again and again and again. There is a whole multipage thread about this subject, you can go there to babble with the rest of the guys who didnt score the fight and those who even didnt watch the full fights.

    No, but he's pretty close.

    I'd have Duran, Robinson, Leonard, Charles and Moore as my top five. Shortly after that, I'd have Pep, Jones & Whitaker, Mayweather belongs in that second group IMO. Pacquiao and Armstrong fall just shortly after that.

    Mayweather is one of the best defensive fighters ever..one of the best technicians and student of the sport..He lacks other aspects that make a fighter great .. such as power , agressivenes , knockout percentage .
    He always thinks defense first.. so he is not a spectacle to watch..but other than that he managed to had a zero loss record..
    controversial by many..
    Many think he definately lost to dela hoya and to maidana(1st fight)

    Floyd Mayweather was so good that the differences between he and the fighters held to be better than him are pretty small. I mean he was arguably the greatest proponent of 21st century boxing. I would name him as such. It will be a very very special fighter that makes him number 2 for this century.

    I think the number of fighters I would name clearly superior to him on film is tiny.
