10-9 Stotsky, not much clean action yet. Djabbarov's balance is awful, he's staggering around off-kilter just while conducting evasive maneuvers.

 

They're removing both men's gloves halfway into R2, and I'm really confused as to what is happening.

There were two knockdowns (the first off a light jab!) by Stotsky in the first minute, but nothing had just happened when they paused and went to have their gloves removed in the corners.

Okay, here's a replay. Djabbarov threw a wild overhand shot and seems to have rolled his ankle. So, I guess...injury TKO2?

Just as well. This didn't have the looks of a good one to watch.

 

Fight told us absolutely nothing about Stotsky as a CW prospect, but it did tell me to avoid anything involving Djabbarov going forward.

JTFD and then self-kayoed by poor footwork and punching technique. Maybe as embarrassing an outing as you can have.

 

How on earth did this bum last eight full rounds (without even getting dropped!) against someone decent like Vyacheslav Uzelkov?!?!

Yes, he's promoted by Krunkyan and friends with Arsen Goulamirian (who's from Yerevan originally, but now a French citizen), so multiple connections.

 

The ring announcer is calling this next one a "heavyweight exhibition" but I think he is just using flowery language. It's a sanctioned pro bout that officially counts on their records AFAIK.
