The guy in there hyping up a Suslenkov vs. Abdullaev rematch like they have unfinished business (that anybody would even be itching to see, if they did).

 

...er, I just transliterated what they have written on the banner there at the bottom of the screen. Or at least a couple words of it, enough to suss out what's happening.

"23:00 Московскому времени" = 11pm Moscow time (presumably the first part of the statement is more or less "ring walks are going to be at").

Half an hour from now. Got a bit of a wait ahead of us, boyos...

 

That is weird, though, because the Ren TV broadcast is supposed to have started twenty minutes ago. So what the heck are they showing instead of live undercard to kill 45 minutes before the main event? Old highlights of Gassiev's or something?

If anyone's watching on Ren, chime in please.

 

Yeah, he seems the sort that if you set up the pins for him nice & stationary, he can strike them down prettily enough. But if you give him any more complex algorithms he might fry a circuit.

I forgot, the Ren TV start time was always set to be 3pm EST, not 2pm.

Forty-odd goddamn minute wait, now watch the fight itself last all of 40 seconds.

And mind you, the alternative (of the undercard bouts having gone longer than any of them did, to pad out more of the wait time) wouldn't have been all that much preferable to sitting here twiddling our thumbs.

 

Local time in Yerevan is quarter to midnight, so they're definitely accommodating Russian television programming with this start time.

 

Maybe somebody that would benefit from bridgerweight actually making it off the ground?

I weirdly saw someone on Twitter yesterday mention that the division would be there for the taking for Gassiev if he wanted to go for the Łukasz Różański vs. Alen Babić winner, even though he hasn't gotten within 6½ of its upper limit in the last half-decade (since The Cat schooled him).
