Did Evander Holyfield Duck Anyone

I would have like to have seen him fight Tommy Morrison and posted a thread a while back asking why this fight didn't occur? Also other names you have listed like Razor Ruddock, Ray Mercer and Frank Bruno would have made interesting opponents were they just not in contention with each respective ranking organisation? I think Evander Holyfield would have fought whoever they put in front of him, it's more probable whoever his managers and promoters selected for him that was the reasons for him not fighting any of the above.

 

Yeah, he went from lean and skinniesh to huge, the difference in his physique was too obvious.
But as far as ducking anybody, no he would have fought anybody.

No ducks. Holyfield took out five top ten contenders on his initial run to the title alone in Thomas, Dokes, Rodrigues, Stewart and McDonagh. The winning runs that Dokes, Rodrigues and Stewart were on were massive. Holyfield was the ultimate warrior.

You make the assumption both Foreman and Tyson were natural? Foreman was involved in the Olympics as a medallist during a period when the Americans were getting back at the soviets for using. Dianbol was all the rage- His peers (Foremans) used and never got caught their were admissions from Journeyman of that period using (60s-70s). Because testing wasn't a thing a lot of the time or if it was, it was laughable you won't have many Evander cases for God sake Tyson used a whizzer to mask drug use and was involved with the guy who helped bring RJJ up to size. Duran admitted to using not long ago and fought through the same eras as Foreman and Tyson- Lennox was on contracts that stipulated testing would not take place in the 80s-90s. Secondly they're as dirty as Holyfield are you blind? elbows, pushing, butting and kidney punching they both offended plenty.

They were both natural, get over it. Holyfield was essentially NEVER clean. His muscular development SCREAMS PEDS. Fighters become suspect especially when they find a name like Evan Fields in a doping investigation, call the number and Evander Holyfield picks up. Also suspect when you have a boxer move up in weight classes effortlessly.
